My Monthly Favorites: February 2013

Hey Everyone :-)
February is almost over, which means that it's time for me to share my favorite products of the month with you guys. I have a little mix of makeup and skin care products to show you, so let's get this fun post started :-)

 L'Occitane Milk Concentrate:
I'm obsessed with L'Occitane's Almond range (mainly because of the smell), and this product has quickly become a big favorite of mine. Milk Concentrate is a moisturizer for your body. It absorbs quickly into the skin, without leaving a greasy feeling behind. I really like that it makes my skin soft and silky smooth, and it's got the most beautiful smell. If you love the L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil, you are going to love this product :-)

EOS Lip Balm in Watermelon Wonderland:
Watermelon Wonderland has been my go-to lipbalm for the entire month of February. It's part of EOS's Alice in Wonderland collection, which was released back in 2012. I'm obsessed with this lip balm. It makes my lips so smooth and soft, and it keeps them nice and moistruized for hours. The name is super cute and and it smells really good, which is always a plus for me. I highly recommend that you check out these lip balms, if you haven't done that already :-)

Decleor Aroma Cleanse, Aromessence Rose D'orient, Harmonie Calm & Aroma Night:
I started using these skin care products by Decleor a few weeks ago, and I have been really liking them so far. My skin is very sensitive, and it gets extra dry when it's winter and cold outside. These products have been helping my skin a lot,  keeping it nice and hydrated. Hopefully they will make it into my March favorites, we'll have to wait and see about that :-)

NYX Trio Eyeshadow Palette in TS 17 - Frosted Flake/Slate/Iced Mocha:
As you probably can tell by looking at the picture, I have been loving the second and the third shade in this palette a lot. I do have a few of these NYX trio eyeshadow palettes in my makeup collection, but this one is definitely my favorite. All three shades are silky smooth and soft. The shadows are very easy to apply, they blend nicely and they are very pigmented as well :-)

Benefit Erase Paste in Fair:
Erase Paste by Benefit has yet again made it into my monthly favorites. I can't say enough good things about this product. This is the perfect under eye concealer for me. It doesn't settle into my fine lines and it doesn't crease, unless I use way too much product. I used to use my fingers to apply it with, but now I use my bellowed Sigma P82 brush. I find this brush to be perfect because it blends out the concealer nicely, without taking away any product. I highly recommend this concealer, it's one of the best concealers that I have tried :-)

Inkane Natural Lipstick in Shade #605:
This lipstick has been my favorite of the month. It's a neutral brown lipstick, which is really easy to apply. It's very smooth and creamy, the shade is gorgeous and it's also very pigmented.  This particular lipstick reminds me of the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks, which are amazing but quite expensive. It has the same creamy and nice texture, but not as shiny. Here is my review if you missed it :-)

What products have you been loving for the month of February? :-) Xoxo, Christine♥

Paese Milky Lips in #606: Review, Photos & Swatches

♥ Paese Milky Lips in #606.

Paese Milky Lips is a lip gloss and lip balm in one. Milky lips provides hydration for parched lips in variety of shades. Select your favorite color and enjoy long lasting, moist and glistening lips.

♥ Paese Milky Lips in #606.

♥ Paese Milky Lips in #606.

My Thoughts:
Paese Milky Lips in #606 is a pretty coral pink lip gloss. It's very easy to apply. The shade is quite sheer, so the color doesn't show that much on my lips. It makes my lips feel soft, smooth and moisturized at the same time. It's a little sticky, so I prefer to start of by using a lip balm. The lip balm just makes the lip gloss feel less sticky and more comfortable on the lips.

The packaging is very simple, but still cute and girly. The lip gloss comes in a 6ml clear and black plastic tube, with the Milky Lips logo on both sides of the tube. It's got a strawberry scent, which I really like. It does leave an after taste in my mouth, which I'm not the biggest fan of. Strawberry is definitely not the worst after taste in my opinion, but I would definitely prefer it if it didn't have one at all.

Overall, I think this is a very nice and affordable lip gloss. The shade is very pretty, but I wish it was more pigmented. It's great to use on it's own for just a wash of color on the lips, but I prefer using it with a lipstick. I like that it keeps my lips moisturized for a while, but it's definitely not long lasting. If you are looking for a pigmented lip gloss, I don't think this is the one for you :-)

Look Beauty Loud Lips in Berry Vamp: Review, Photos & Swatches

♥ Look Beauty Loud Lips in Berry Vamp.

♥ Look Beauty Loud Lips in Berry Vamp.

♥ Look Beauty Loud Lips in Berry Vamp.

♥ Look Beauty Loud Lips in Berry Vamp.

My Thoughts:
Look Beauty Loud Lips in Berry Vamp is a beautiful dark berry colored lipstick. It's very easy to apply, but I found it to be a little drying on my lips. I used my bellowed EOS Lip Balm in Watermelon Wonderland, to make it feel less drying and more comfortable on my lips. I think darker lipsticks are a little difficult to apply straight from the tube, so I prefer using a lip brush for that. The lip brush gives me more control, and a cleaner and precise line.

I really like the packaging of the Loud Lips lipsticks by Look Beauty, it's very sleek and elegant. Berry Vamp comes in this pretty gold/silver tube, with the Look Beauty pattern engraved on two sides of the lipstick cap. I really that the lipstick shade is on the bottom of the tube. That makes it very handy and easy to store and you can quickly find the shade that you are looking for, without having to go through all of your lipsticks. Berry Vamp has a nice coconut scent, which I really enjoy.

♥ Look Beauty Loud Lips in Berry Vamp.

Overall, I do think that this is a nice lipstick. It's not my favorite, but I think the shade is very beautiful and the pigmentation is wonderful. I would probably love this lipstick even more, if it was creamy and more moisturizing on the lips. Berry Vamp is definitely a great shade for Fall and Winter :-)

You might like this product if:
♥ You like pigmented lipsticks.

♥ Paese Nail Enamel in #128.

♥ Paese Nail Enamel in #128.

My Thoughts:
Paese Nail Enamel in #128 (9ml bottle) is a creamy purple grey nail polish. It's very smooth and easy to apply, and I didn't have any problems with it looking sheer or streaky on my nails. The consistency of this shade is wonderful, not too thin or too thick which is perfect in my book. Paese Nail Enamel in #128 is quick drying, and it's fully opaque in one/two coats.

The packaging is very simple, yet sleek and pretty at the same time. I wish that the nail polish brush was just a little bit thicker, because I think it makes the polish a lot easier to apply, but that's just my opinion.

Overall, I really like this nail polish a lot. The shade is beautiful, and it's a very appropriate shade for Fall and Winter. The quality is great, and I really like that it's only €3.00. There are so many amazing and affordable brands available, and It's nice to know that you don't have to go out and spend a lot of money on a good quality nail polish. If you are looking for a dark and opaque nail polish for Fall and Winter, I highly recommend that you check this one out :-)

 ♥ White, Cream, Taupe & LT.Pink.

 ♥ Nude, Champagne, Gold & LT.Bronze.

♥ LORAC PRO Eyeshadow Palette.

♥ Mauve, Sable, Espresso & Black.

♥ Pewter, Garnet, Deep Purple & Slate.

My Thoughts:
The LORAC PRO Palette is filled with sixteen neutral and beautiful eyeshadows that will give your makeup looks a lot of variation. The case is quite thin and light.  It's made of a sturdy cardboard with a magnetic flip top closure. Inside the eyeshadow palette, is a full length mirror and the sixteen beautiful eye shadows. LORAC have organized the eyeshadows in a way that all the matte shades are on a single line and all the shimmery shades are on the other. I like this a lot, because I think it makes the palette look more put together and it also makes it easy to find the shades that you are looking for. Since the eyeshadow palette is so thin and light, it makes it very travel friendly. It's also very easy to store, and it doesn't take up much space in your makeup drawer.

I have nothing bad to say about the quality and pigmentation of the eyeshadows, they are just perfect! The eyeshadows are very smooth to apply, and they blend very easily. A few of the matte eyeshadows have a little bit of sparkle in them but when you swatch them, they show up completely matte. The eyeshadows are quite powdery, so I do recommend that you tap of any excess to avoid a lot of fallout.

Overall, I love this palette and I don't regret spending my money on it. It has quickly become one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes, and I always find myself reaching for it. The eyeshadows are beautiful and very pigmented. I highly recommend that you check out this palette if you are looking for a new, neutral eyeshadow palette to try out :-)

♥ Inkane Natural Lipstick in Shade #605.

 My Thoughts:
Inkane Natural Lipstick in Shade #605 is a neutral brown lipstick. It's very smooth and easy to apply, and it feels incredible soft and creamy on my lips. The shade is beautiful, highly pigmented and it doesn't have a weird or cheap scent.

I'm very impressed with the quality of this lipstick, and I like that it keeps my lips nicely moisturized. It's affordable, but it doesn't look or feel cheap at all. This reminds me a lot of the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks, which I really like as well. It has that same creamy and nice texture, but it's not as shiny as the YSL lipsticks.

I like the packaging a lot, it's so pretty. The lipstick comes in this beautiful pale lavender metal tube, with small rhinestones embedded into it. I love when brands put some thought and effort into their packaging, it makes me want to go out and buy their products even more. Do you agree with me? Ans are you a sucker for cute packaging too? :-)

I love the shade, it's very beautiful. I prefer neutral lipsticks that are more on the browner side, because I think they look much better with my skin tone. This is the perfect lipstick shade for me! It's just like my natural lip color, only better :-)
