MONTHLY FAVORITES: MARCH 2015

April is right around the corner, which means that it's time for me to share this months beauty favorites with you all. So without any further ado, here they are! :-)
♥ SmashBox Full Exposure Mascara, (HERE).

♥ SmashBox Full Exposure Mascara, (HERE).

I started using the Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara back in February and I have been enjoying it quite a lot actually. I received it in the Smashbox favorites set, which was a 500 point perk a while ago at Sephora's website. The Full Exposure mascara has a dryer formula, which doesn't smudge or flake under my eyes. It gives my lashes a nice length and some much needed volume. It doesn't apply clumpy or look spidery on the lashes either, so if you're into that look you might want to give this mascara a go.

Although it's not one of my all-time favorite mascara's, I would definitely re-purchase it again since I have been liking it a lot! :-)
♥ theBalm Shadow/Blush in Hot Mama, (HERE).

♥ theBalm Shadow/Blush in Hot Mama, (HERE).

Hot Mama by theBalm has quickly become a ''must'' have and one of my favorite blushes in my entire makeup collection. Hot Mama is a beautiful pinky-peach with golden shimmer. It looks very fresh and pretty on the cheeks, while giving you that beautiful glow. I gravitate towards blushes that have a lot of shimmer in them, because I'm all about that glow. Hot Mama is definitely a winner in my book and a must have in every girls makeup collection! :-)
 ♥ bareMinerals Mineral Veil, (HERE).

♥ bareMinerals Mineral Veil, (HERE).

I have been using the Mineral Veil by bareMinerals for a while now and so far I really like it. Mineral Veil is a finishing powder for the face, which gently absorbs oil and minimizes the appearance of lines and pores without the buildup of pressed or loose powders.

I mostly just use it to set my under eye concealer and it works perfectly for that. There is a list of 10 different ways that you can use this product on Sephora's website, so I'm definitely going to give them a try and see what I think! :-)
♥ LUSH Cosmetics Lip Scrub in Mint Julips, (HERE).
♥ LUSH Cosmetics Lip Scrub in Mint Julips, (HERE).

The LUSH Cosmetics Lip Scrub in Mint Julips has been a huge favorite of mine and a must have though the entire fall and winter season. It's packed full of fresh peppermint and sweet castor sugar, which feels amazing on the lips. It's been really cold and dry outside for the past couple of months, which has resulted in very dry and flaky lips. I have been scrubbing my lips and applying a lip balm every night before bed for a while now and my lips are starting to look and feel better.

The Bubblegum Lip Scrub from LUSH Cosmetics used to be my all-time favorite lip scrub, but that quickly changed after I started using this one. I'm in love with the scent/taste, it smells and taste exactly like the After Eight chocolate that I'm obsessed with. Every time I exfoliate my lips with Mint Julips, I end up craving that chocolate. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, haha! :-)

♥ Crown Brush Make-up Brush Cleaner, (HERE).

The Make-up Brush Cleaner by Crown Brush is designed to enhance the performance and prolong the life of your makeup brushes. It dissolves the build-up of grime, makeup and oil, which is perfect for cleaning natural and synthetic brushes when you don't have any time to wash them.

I have been a fan of this brush cleaner for a while now and I think that it does a great job spot cleaning my makeup brushes. It's perfect for those days that you're in a hurry and need to have a clean brush ASAP, but you should definitely deep clean your makeup brushes at least once a month just to keep them nice, fresh and bacterial free! :-)

So there you have it, my favorite beauty products this month! What products have you been enjoying lately? Any recommendations? :-)

Lots of love,

THRIFT SHOPPING VOL.1: VERO MODA, LINDEX, NOISY MAY & GINA TRICOT

My mom and I recently visited our local thrift shop called Fretex and I ended up going home with a couple of goodies! I personally love thrift shops, I think that they are really fun but it's not often that I come across items that I really like and want to buy. I found a couple of cute items on this trip to Fretex and I thought that it would be fun to do a post about them and make this into a new series here on Makeup, Beauty & Fashion.

Let's take a closer look at what I ended up taking home with me. Be sure to let me know in the comments down below how you would style these pieces! :-)

 ♥ Top from Vero Moda.

 ♥ Sweater from Lindex.

 ♥ Sweater from Noisy May.

 ♥ Top from Gina Tricot.

♥ Earrings.

I'm really happy with everything that I found at Fretex this time around. I think everything looks super cute and I can't wait to style them and wear them out when it gets a bit warmer outside. I have already created a couple of looks in my mind, which I'm thinking about sharing with you in a ''Outfit Of The Day'' post. Is that something that you be interested in seeing?

What item above is your personal favorite? If I had to choose just one favorite, I think I would have to go with the black lace top from Vero Moda or the white knitted sweater from Lindex. I'm obsessed with both of them and I'm already looking forward to wearing them! :-)

Next time your in your local thrift shop and can't find anything that you like, just remember to be patient and don't give up. The good stuff is usually hiding amongst the clothes on the racks, so just take your time and keep looking. If you do that, you will most likely find a good bargain! :-)

What do you think about the items that I picked up at Fretex? What's your opinion on thrift shops? How often do you visit them? :-)

MAKEUP REVOLUTION THE ONE BLUSH STICKS: REVIEW, PHOTOS & SWATCHES

Today's blog post is going to be all about the One Blush Sticks from Makeup Revolution. I have the complete range to show you, so let's get started! :-)

♥ Makeup Revolution One Blush Sticks, (HERE).

The One Blush Sticks from Makeup Revolution are available in 8 beautiful shades, 4 bold and shimmery shades and 4 matte shades. They are designed to be used on both cheeks and lips, which is very convenient and great for travel too. You can use them with a heavy hand and rock a bold cheek/lip look, or you can sheer them out and make them look more natural with a pretty flush of color.

They feel quite soft and they are super pigmented too. They feel a bit oily on the cheeks after you first apply them, but once they have had some time to settle down, the oily feeling goes away and they feel very smooth on the cheeks! :-)

♥ Makeup Revolution One Blush Stick in Dream, Pink, Rush & Malibu.

♥ Makeup Revolution One Blush Stick in Rush, (HERE).

♥ Makeup Revolution One Blush Stick in Malibu, (HERE).

♥ Makeup Revolution One Blush Stick in Matte Dream, Matte Pink, Matte Rush & Matte Malibu.

♥ Makeup Revolution One Blush Stick in Matte Dream, (HERE).

♥ Makeup Revolution One Blush Stick in Matte Pink, (HERE).

♥ Makeup Revolution One Blush Stick in Matte Rush, (HERE).

♥ Makeup Revolution One Blush Stick in Matte Malibu, (HERE).

The One Blush Sticks come in a black and sleek packaging. The 4 bold and shimmery shades come in a shiny tube, while the 4 matte shades are packaged in a matte tube. I love that Makeup Revolution decided to do that with the tubes, because it makes it easier to tell which blush is shimmery and which one is matte without having to open them up.

Unfortunately the blushes don't have their names listed on the packaging, only on the box that they came in. So I decided to cut out the names on the boxes and glue them on to the bottom of the tubes, so now they have their names on them. The names aren't that difficult to remember though, so you definitely don't need to do this step, I just prefer having the names on the tube so I can easily tell what shade that I'm using! :-)

♥ Makeup Revolution One Blush Sticks, (HERE).

As I mentioned above, these can also be used on the lips. If you decide to try them on your lips, be sure to exfoliate and hydrate your lips first before applying them, because they can feel a bit drying. As long as you have a little bit of lip balm on your lips, you won't notice it as much. They actually look quite pretty on the lips, but I do prefer using them on the cheeks though! :-)

These are supposed to be ''dupes'' or very similar to the The Multiple by NARS, at least that's what I've been told. I haven't had a chance to try them out yet, so I can't really tell you much about them and if they are any similar to Makeup Revolution's One Blush Sticks. If I ever do decide to pick up a shade or two from NARS, I will definitely be sure to do a comparison post and let you know my thoughts on them. Let me know if that is something that you would be interested in seeing! :-)
♥ Makeup Revolution One Blush Sticks, (HERE).

Overall, I'm quite happy with these blush sticks from Makeup Revolution. I really like that they decided to include both matte and shimmery shades in this range, because not everyone is into shimmery blushes and vice versa. I think stick/liquid blushes are more difficult to work with, just because they aren't as easy to remove if you do a mistake and apply too much at once. I found these to be easiest to blend out with a makeup sponge, the sponge makes them look more natural and not as intense as a brush would.

It's definitely easy to get carried away with these and end up looking like a crazy circus clown, so be sure to apply them with a light hand or onto the back of your hands first. You can always go back and add more color to your cheeks if you feel like you need it! :-)

Ingredients:
Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Trimethylsiloxyphenyl Dimethicone, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Ceresin, Cera Alba, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Isohexadecane, Paraffin, Glycol Montanate, Synthetic Wax, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Parfum, Benzyl Salicylate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene, Linalool.

Where to buy?
The One Blush Sticks are available at Makeup Revolution for £5 each, HERE.

Note:
Makeup Revolution is cruelty free.

What are you're thoughts on the One Blush Sticks from Makeup Revolution? Which shade is your favorite? :-)

NAILS OF THE DAY: BLUE & GLITTER

It's been a while since I have painted my nails, which is the reason why I haven't been posting any ''Nails Of The Day'' or any other nail related posts here on Makeup, Beauty & Fashion in a while. A couple of weeks ago, I played around with some of my new nail polishes from H&M and I decided to finally paint my nails again. I managed to snap a few photos of the look that I wore that day, which is exactly what I will be sharing with you guys in today's post.

I'm very happy with how the look turned out, I think it's such a cute combination for Spring and Summer. Now, let's go on and take a closer look at the nails! :-)

♥ H&M Nail Polish in Blue & Glitter, (HERE).

♥ H&M Nail Polish in Blue & Glitter, (HERE).
♥ H&M Nail Polish in Blue & Glitter, (HERE).

After seeing both of these nail polishes swatched by Ida Malene from neglelakk.net, I immediately went on H&M's website and ordered them. They both come in a set with two other nail polishes in the pastel colored family, a pretty pink with gold shimmer and a cute yellow. I think the set is around $8, which is a nice deal for 4 nail polishes.

I really like how these two nail polishes look together, they compliment each other so well. Don't you think so too? I have a feeling that I will be rocking this particular combination a lot during this upcoming Spring and Summer! :-)

What do you guys think about this nail look? Do you like the color combination? Are you a fan of pastel nail polishes for Spring and Summer? :-)

BEAUTY HAUL: COLOURPOP COSMETICS

Happy Monday, how is your day going so far? Today, I have an exciting makeup haul to share with you. I'm sure most of you are already familiar with the brand ColourPop Cosmetics. If not, embrace yourself because your in for a treat!

ColourPop Cosmetics sell eyeshadows, lipsticks and lip liners for only $5 each, which is such a bargain. ColourPop just launched their brand new blush range too, which I'm super stoked about. They all look so pretty, some are more on the neutral side while others are quite bright, fun and perfect for Spring and Summer. Let's go on and take a closer look at the items I ordered from ColourPop Cosmetics! :-)

♥ Shaaanxo X ColourPop Eyeshadow Collection, (HERE).
♥ Shaaanxo X ColourPop Eyeshadow Collection, (HERE).

I picked up the Shaaanxo for ColourPop eyeshadow collection, which looks absolutely stunning! I'm a huge fan of Shannon and her videos on YouTube. She seems like such a cool, sweet and fun girl, so I wanted to pick up her palette and show her some support. I have heard so many wonderful things about these eyeshadows, so I'm looking forward to playing around with them. I will be doing a review on these very soon, so keep your pretty eyes open for that! :-)

I also picked up a bunch of their regular eyeshadows and Lippie Stix, which you can see photos of down below. They have so many colors to choose from, so it definitely wasn't easy deciding what colors I wanted to try out first. How pretty is the all white packaging? I really like it, looks very classy and cute! :-)

♥ ColourPop Lippie Stix in Cookie, (HERE), Lumière, (HERE), Brink, (HERE), Flawless, (HERE) & Bichette (HERE).

Since ColourPop only ships to a couple of countries (Norway isn't one of them), you are probably wondering how I got my hands on their products. Well, I used Shipito which is a mail forwarding website. I have been using it for a couple of years now and I'm so pleased with it. I only paid $10 to get my ColourPop package shipped from the Shipito warehouse to my home in Norway, which is such a great deal. If you are thinking about ordering from websites that doesn't ship to your country, I highly recommend that you check out Shipito. Their customer service is wonderful and the shipping rates isn't too bad either!

So there you have it, my very first haul from ColourPop Cosmetics! I'm already thinking about placing another order with them, because there are a couple more eyeshadows and Lippie Stix that I want to add to my makeup collection. I also want to pick up a couple of their new blushes, they all look so pretty! :-)

Have you ordered anything from ColourPop Cosmetics? What did you order? If you have done a ColourPop haul post on your blog, feel free to leave your link down below because I would love to see it! :-)

My favorite items from the February GLOSSYBOX has to be the Kueshi Revitalizing Face Toner, Nicka K Colorluxe Powder Blush in Romantic and the L'Oreal Paris Mythic Oil Souffle d'Or Shampoo and Conditioner. I love testing out new skin care products, so I can barely wait to give the Revitalizing Face Toner by Kueshi a go. I'm going to try it out tonight before I go to bed, will make sure to update you on what I think about it soon!

I'm also looking forward to trying out the Nicka K Colorluxe Powder Blush in Romantic. It's such a gorgeous color, which looks like it could be my new go-to and favorite blush for every day. I don't have any blushes with this kind of applicator in my makeup collection, so I'm excited to test it out and see how well it works.

I have heard lovely things about L'Oreal Paris's Mythic Oil range and I'm so happy that GLOSSYBOX decided to include them in this box. There is no denying that I have a weakness for good smelling products and these definitely have a yummy scent to them! :-)

MONTHLY FAVORITES: FEBRUARY 2015

Another month has flown by, which means that it's time for me to share the products that I have been enjoying during the month of February. I have been sticking to a lot of the same products as I showed you in my previous favorites post, but there are also a couple of new products thrown into the mix as well which I will be sharing with you guys in today's post. Let's take a closer look at them! :-)

♥ Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer, (HERE).

I have been using the Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer by Smashbox Cosmetics quite a lot throughout the entire month of February. It's very hydrating on the under eye area and it makes both the foundation and concealer go on a lot smoother and more even. I haven't noticed a lot of creasing with my concealer since I started using this primer under my eyes, which is one of the reasons why I have been loving it so much! :-)

♥ Milani Cosmetics Baked Blush in Berry Amore, (HERE).

Another product that I have been loving and that you might be very familiar with is the Baked Blush in Berry Amore by Milani Cosmetics. I have mentioned this particular blush quite a few times here on Makeup, Beauty & Fashion and I'm glad to have re-discovered my love for it. Berry Amore is a beautiful, berry toned blush with golden shimmer. It's easy to apply and it blends flawlessly into the skin. Since it has quite a lot of shimmer, it can be used as a blush and highlighter in one. I don't wear highlighter whenever I'm wearing this blush on my cheeks, because I don't feel the need to.

The Baked Blushes from Milani Cosmetics are some of my all time favorite blushes, highly recommend that you check them out if you haven't done it already! :-)

♥ Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Mauve, (HERE).

Another product that I re-discovered back in February is the Revlon Colourburst lipstick in Mauve. It's a pretty pinky mauve, which looks very flattering and pretty on the lips. It instantly brightens up the face, giving the lips a beautiful flush of color. Mauve is the perfect lipstick for everyday wear and I have been quite obsessed with it for a while now. It's truly a gorgeous shade, which I think is a total must have if you are into these type of shades! :-)

♥ Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lip Gloss in Smooth Talker, (HERE).

The Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie lip gloss in Smooth Talker has quickly become a favorite of mine. Smooth Talker is a pretty peachy pink with golden shimmer. It feels very comfortable on the lips and it stays put a good while before it needs to be re-applied. It doesn't feel too sticky on the lips, which is one of the reasons why I have been loving it so much. It leaves behind a slight tingle on the lips but nothing too crazy compared to the Bare Escentuals Buxom Full-On Lip Polishes, if you are familiar with those! :-)

♥ NARS Cosmetics Sheer Glow Foundation in Mont Blanc, (HERE).

I have been wanting to try out the NARS Sheer Glow foundation for such a long time now, so I decided to pick up a sample of it on eBay. I picked up the shade Mont Blanc, which is the second lightest shade in the Sheer Glow range. It has a pink undertone to it, which suit my complexion quite nicely. So far I really like it! I love how it looks on my skin, lovely coverage without being over the top. I'm thinking about picking up the full size bottle soon, that's how much I have been enjoying it. Do you know if it's possible to buy a pump for it? I don't like that it doesn't come with one! :-)

So there you have it, my favorite beauty products for the month of February. What products have you been loving in February? Any products I should check out? :-)

- Love, Christine ♥
