MAKEUP REVOLUTION UNICORNS UNITE LIPSTICK COLLECTION: REVIEW, PHOTOS & SWATCHES

Makeup Revolution have released a new, enchanting and magical lipstick collection called Unicorns Unite. The collection consists of 5 lipsticks, two are bright while the other three are more on the dark side. Let's take a closer look at this collection from Makeup Revolution! :-)
♥ Makeup Revolution Unicorns Unite Lipstick Collection.

The Unicorns Unite Lipstick Collection is colorful yet dark at the same time. The lipsticks are very easy to apply. They feel soft and smooth on the lips without being dry. I do recommend that you exfoliate your lips properly before the application, because a couple of the shades can cling to dry patches on the lips. You can probably tell what I mean by looking at the lip swatch photos.

The pigmentation is good, but some of the shades are a little sheer. They have a metallic finish so if that's not your thing, these might not be what you are looking for. I don't usually gravitate towards lipsticks with a metallic finish, just because I think that they can look a little too intense and crazy on their own. That's why I prefer to use them in the center of my lips to make my lips pop. I think it makes them more wearable and it also makes the lips look more fuller as well.

I have already mentioned this several times before, but I love that you can see the color of the lipsticks on top of the cap. They are so easy to store and organize and you don't have to open them up to see the color. I really like the shade names too, they are very creative and fun.

My favorite shades from this collection is Pink Myth and Legend. I also like Horn Of Magic as well, but I'm not sure if I would wear it outside the house to be completely honest with you. Magical is gorgoeus too, but I was a little disappointed with the pigmentation on this one, it was quite sheer compared to the rest of the shades and it looked very patchy and uneven on my lips. I think Magical would look beautiful paired with a lip liner in a similar shade. It would be such a gorgeous combination! :-)

Overall, I think that the Unicorns Unite Lipstick Collection from Makeup Revolution is a very fun collection. The colors are very pretty, some are quite unique as well. If you are into bold lipsticks, I think you are going to like this collection a lot. Some of the lipsticks are a little too bold for my taste, but I think it's healthy to step out of the comfort zone every now and again. Makeup is about being creative and having fun, so if a product doesn't work for you, you can just wash it off! :-)

  1. Some of these look nice in the swatches, but I'm with you- I'm not sure I would get much wear out of these, either. :/

  5. These look really unique and I think they could work well layered on top of other lipsticks too. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to wear some of the colours though!

  7. I got a similar set from Freedom, the Star Wars themed set, and found the best way to wear the darker greys and purples was layered over a dark liquid to matte lipstick, like Black Moon Purgatory. Brings out the shimmer without needing 15 coats :)
