NAILS OF THE DAY: ESSIE LADY LIKE & FLORAL NAIL ART STICKERS FROM BORN PRETTY STORE

I have been wanting to paint my nails for a while now, but I have been so busy painting our kitchen that I just haven't had the time to sit down and do it. Now that I'm all done with our kitchen, I got more time to play around with some of my nail polishes and nail art items.

My mom and I recently placed an order at Born Pretty Store. We picked up a bunch of really cool and fun nail art supplies. These pretty floral nail art stickers are a couple of the items that we ordered. I thought it would be fun to show you the design that I came up with, hope you like it! :-)

I think that these floral nail art stickers are so fun and quite unique. The design and the entire color scheme look beautiful together. I decided to pair the stickers with Essie's Lady Like, since I thought that it complimented the floral design beautifully. I added the nail stickers on both of my ring fingers, just to make it look a little more toned down and not so over the top.

I'm a huge fan of nail art stickers, they are so much fun to play around with. Born Pretty Store is my go-to website for everything that has to do with nail art. They have such a wide selection of designs to choose from and their prices are wonderful too. If you want me to start doing these nail art posts more often, please let me know in the comments down below and I will try to make it a more regular thing! :-)

What do you think about the design? Do you like to play around with nail art water decal stickers? :-) Love, Christine♥

WISHLIST VOL.1: ESSIE, HOURGLASS, LORAC, MAKEUP REVOLUTION & THE EVIL WITHIN

Wishlists are some of my favorite blog posts to read, because I think that they are so much fun and they always give me ideas on new beauty products to try out, as well as other fun, non beauty related items.

I thought that it would be fun to start a wishlist series on my blog, where I show you some of the items that I'm currently lusting over. Everything from makeup, clothes and accessories to books, movies and other random bits and bobs will be featured in these posts. I hope these posts will inspire you and maybe give you a few ideas on products to try out for yourself or even gift ideas for friends and family! :-)

♥ LORAC Mega Pro Palette - Photo Source, HERE.

I'm a huge fan of the Pro eyeshadow palettes from LORAC! I think LORAC makes some of the best quality eyeshadows on the beauty market. They are so smooth and soft and they are very pigmented and easy to work with as well.

The Mega Pro palette is a brand new eyeshadow palette from LORAC, which is due to release in October just in time for the holidays. There are 32 eyeshadows in this palette, 16 matte and 16 shimmery shades. I don't think that there are any eyeshadows from the original Pro or Pro 2 palette in the Mega Pro palette, only new shades. But don't quote me on that, because I'm not completely sure about it since there isn't a lot of information about this palette yet. I'm beyond excited to get my hands on this palette. Will you be adding this to your wishlist? :-)

♥ Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette - Photo Source, HERE.

Ever since I got my hands on the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Radient Magenta, I have been wanting to try out their Ambient Lighting palette. The Ambient Lighting palette is a palette that features three shades of Ambient Lighting powders, the high-tech, soft-focus finishing powder that recreates the most exquisitely flattering types of light.

I have heard nothing but great things about this palette, so I might have to splurge on it the next time I place an order at Sephora. How gorgeous is the packaging? I absolutely love it! :-)

♥ Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts - Photo Source, HERE.

Makeup Revolution have been killing it on the beauty front lately. They have been coming out with a lot of cool products lately and it seems like they are planning on releasing some new and fun items soon! :-)

There are many things that I want to try out from Makeup Revolution, but their entire Blushing Hearts range has been on top of my wishlist ever since I saw them on their website. They remind me a lot of the Too Faced Sweethearts blushes, expect that they are way more affordable. They all look gorgeous but my favorites are definitely Blushing Heart Blusher, Candy Queen of Hearts Blusher and the Goddess of Love Highlighter

♥ Essie Fall 2014 Collection - Photo Source, HERE.

Essie is and will always be one of my favorite nail polish brands. The quality and the formula of their nail polishes are really good. I haven't had a lot of bad experiences with Essie, which is the reason why I love them so much.

The collection that I'm currently lusting over is their new Fall collection called Dress To Kilt. Each and every single nail polish in this collection is gorgeous. What do you think? Do you like the colors in this collection? :-)

♥ The Evil Within - Photo Source, HERE.

I love everything that has to do with scary movies and video games. The Evil Within is a new horror game that is coming out on October 14th. It looks exciting, intense and scary, just the way I like it! :-)

Are you a fan of horror movies and video games? If you are, do you have any movie/game recommendations? If you are curious about this game and you want to learn more about it, you can check out the website, HERE! :-)

What's on your wishlist at the moment? Are you a fan of horror movies and video games? :-) Love, Christine♥

ESSIE NEON COLLECTION: REVIEW, PHOTOS & SWATCHES

Today's post is going to be all about the Essie Neon Collection for 2014. The collection celebrates stylish girls around the world struck by fashion fever. It consists of six gorgeous, bright and fun shades, which screams Summer. I have five of the six nail polishes from this collection to show you today, so let's get started! :-)

♥ Essie Neon Collection for 2014.

♥ Essie Neon Collection for 2014.

♥ Essie Neon Collection for 2014.

♥ Essie Nail Lacquer in Sittin Pretty.

Sittin Pretty is a vivid lavender.

♥ Essie Nail Lacquer in Too Taboo.

Too Taboo is a florescent fushia berry.

♥ Essie Nail Lacquer in Vices Versa.

Vices Versa is a juicy lime.

♥ Essie Nail Lacquer in I'm Addicted.

I'm Addicted is a beautiful aquamarine blue.

♥ Essie Nail Lacquer in Chills & Thrills.

Chills & Thrills is a supercharged blue violet.

The last nail polish in this collection is called Serial Shopper. It's a bright coral, unfortunately I don't have that one to show you today! :-)

All five of the nail polishes in the Neon Collection are very easy to apply. They didn't go on streaky, patchy or look uneven on my nails. They have a very thin formula, which makes them quite sheer. Most of them need at least three coats to look completely opaque on the nails, with the exception of Too Taboo and Chills & Thrills. They were fine with just two coats. I really like all five of the nail polishes in Essie's Neon Collection, but my favorites are definitely Too Taboo, Chills & Thrills and I'm Addicted.

Overall, I really like this collection from Essie despite all the negative reviews that it's been getting. I think that the colors are beautiful, bright and very fun but they are not neons in my opinion. Neons too me are shades that are so bright that they hurt my eyes when I look at them, lol. Some of my favorite neon nail polishes are I'm With The Lifeguard and Flip Flop Fantasy by China Glaze. I also love Pink Parka by Essie. If you want the colors from the Essie Neon Collection to pop and look a little brighter, try applying them over a white base. It works great! :-)

Where to buy?
The Essie Neon Collection is available at Pretty Litte Nails for £8.25 each, HERE

Note:
Undetermined if cruelty free.

What do you think about the Essie Neon Collection for 2014? See any shades that you like? Which one is your favorite? :-) Love, Christine♥

Chills & Thrills and Vices Versa was sent to me by Pretty Little Nails for review purposes only. No payment was received for this review. My reviews are based on my personal opinions and experience using the item(s). All opinions are my own and 100% honest.

I'm excited to finally try it out, but first I have to take some photos before I can start using it. I'm sure that every beauty blogger can relate to this or what? LOL! :-)

I'm planning on doing a blog post on the Essie Neon 2014 Collection soon, so definitely stay tuned for that. I also have a beauty/clothing haul from London that I want to share with you. Hopefully, I will have those posts up and ready for you to read this week! :-)

NAILS OF THE DAY: ESSIE NAIL LACQUER IN FIJI

Happy Friday! How are you guys doing today? I hope that you are having a wonderful day so far. Yesterday, I finally painted my nails for the first time in what feels like forever. I wanted to get this post up for you guys today and show you what I'm currently wearing on my nails! :-)

♥ Essie Nail Lacquer in Fiji, HERE

I'm wearing Essie's Nail Lacquer in Fiji, which is a beautiful, creamy pale pink. It's a very simple, fresh and elegant shade, which goes with any look that you are sporting. It does take up to three coats for it to look completely opaque on my nails though, but it's so worth it in the end. Fiji is a shade that I always keep coming back to, whenever I'm not sure on what nail polish I want to wear. It has quickly become one off my favorite nail polishes from Essie! :-)

What do you think about Essie's Nail Lacquer in Fiji? Do you have it in your collection? What nail polish are you currently wearing on your nails? :-) Love, Christine♥
