My Monthly Favorites: May 2013

Hey Everyone :-)
May is almost over, which means that it's time for me to share the products that I have been loving this month. I rediscovered a few, old beauty favorites off mine that I forgot that I had in my makeup collection. I love when that happens, don't you? So, without further ado, here are my favorite products for the month of May :-)

♥ e.l.f. Eyebrow Treat & Tame in Light/Clear:
The Eyebrow Treat & Tame by e.l.f. has been my go-to and favorite brow product during the entire month of May. My brows are very light, so I like to use the tame side of the product to give them some color. It's a very quick and easy step in my daily makeup rutine, and I really like it :-)

♥ Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15:
I have been obsessed with this concealer lately. I really like how it brightens up my my face, and make me look more awake. It has nice coverage as well, so it's great to use as an all over concealer. I like to use it under my eyes, as well as on the rest of my face to cover up any redness. If you have tried out Maybelline's Fit Me Foundation and you like it, definitely give this concealer a try :-)

♥ NYX Powder Blush in Peach:
I'm a huge fan of the powder blushes by NYX, and Peach is one of my favorites. Peach is a pretty light pink blush. I really like that it gives my cheeks a very natural and flushed look, I think that's a very pretty look for summer. Peach can be applied sheer with a light hand, or you can build it up and make it look a little brighter. I have been using it almost every single day in May, and I really like it. It's definitely one of the prettiest shades from NYX's Powder Blush range :-)

♥ Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Afterglow:
During the month of May, I rediscovered my love for Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Afterglow. This used to be one of my favorite lipglosses, but I completely forgot that I had it in my makeup collection. Pink Afterglow is a pretty medium pink lipgloss with silver shimmer. It's very easy to apply, and it doesn't feel sticky on my lips. If you have been wanting to try out the Super Lustrous Lipglosses by Revlon, Pink Afterglow is a nice shade to start with.

♥ Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 BB Cream in Light:
I normally don't like to wear full coverage foundations during the summer, because I think they are a little too heavy for my liking. That's why I love BB creams, especially the Dream Fresh BB Cream by Maybelline. I like that it doesn't feel heavy on my skin, it gives my skin a very natural look and it also gives me an instant and fresh glow :-)

♥ MAC Eyeshadow in Brule:
Brule has been my favorite and most used eyeshadow during the month of May. I think it's a great ''all over the lid'' color, and it gives you that natural look which I have been going for a lot lately. Other shades from MAC that I also like, are Satin Taupe, Charcoal Brown and All That Glitters :-)

What products have you been loving for the month of May? Have you tried out any of my favorites? :-) Love, Christine♥

Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes in Pomegranate: Review & Photos

♥ Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes in Pomegranate.

Description:
Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes cleanse the skin and remove make-up efficiently from face and eyes. Pomegranate extract, rich in antioxidants, tightens the pores, tones and refreshes the skin. This pack contains 25 wipes.

My Thoughts:
The Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes (£7.00 for 25 wipes.) are very moisturizing and soft, they give my skin a nice glow and they leave it feeling clean and fresh. They are not rough on my skin, and they don't dry out or irritate my skin either, which I really like. My skin is very sensitive, so when I find a product that I really like and that doesn't break me out, I like to stick to it.

The Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes come in a white package, with a pretty black flower design. I always make sure to store them upside down, to prevent them from drying out. I find that this help keep the wipes moisturized for a longer period of time. They also have a very nice and refreshing scent of pomegranate, which I find very soothing on my skin.

♥ Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes in Pomegranate.

♥ Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes in Pomegranate.

The pomegranate extract is a rich source of tannins, anthocyanins, vitamins (A, C, E) and minerals and is widely used for its antioxidant properties. The high level of antioxidants found in Pomegranate is effective in combating free radicals that cause premature ageing of skin cells. It also has significant astringent properties, due to its tannins content. As a result, it tightens the pores and strengthens the skin epidermis, this being ideal for oily and combination skin.

Overall, I really like these makeup remover wipes by Korres. I think that they work great for removing makeup, they are very gentle on my skin and they have a really nice and fresh scent. A big thumbs up for these :-)

Maybelline Express Nail Polish Remover: Review & Photos

♥ Maybelline Express Nail Polish Remover.

♥ Maybelline Express Nail Polish Remover.

My Thoughts:
This is my very first time trying out a dip-in nail polish remover. I have to admit that I was a little sceptical at first, but after trying it out I'm actually very happy with how well it works.

The Maybelline Express Nail Polish Remover come in a cute, black and pink container. It contains a foam centre that you dip your finger into. All you do is take your finger and dip it into the centre, twist it a couple of times and then your nail polish should come right off. It does leave my nails a little dry afterwards, but it's nothing that I can't handle. I always use my Hard as Hoof Nail Strengthening Cream (after I have removed my nail polish), to moisturize and strenghten my nails.

If you are a big nail polish lover like myself, you know how hard it is to remove glitter. Glitter nail polishes take a little more time to remove with this product, then just a regular nail polish. I find that it works best when you rub your nail against the side of the foam, but if you love to wear glitter on your nails daily, I think it's best to just stick with the good old cotton pad and nail polish remover. I always use the Foil Technique, because I find that to be the easiest and quickest way for me to remover any glitter nail polish :-)

♥ Maybelline Express Nail Polish Remover.

♥ Maybelline Express Nail Polish Remover.

♥ Maybelline Express Nail Polish Remover.

It's got a pretty strong scent at first, but it fades away after a few seconds. It also comes with almond extract, which makes your fingers and nails smell really good afterwards :-)

Overall, I'm very happy with the Express Remover from Maybelline. It's quick and easy to use, and I really like the idea behind the product. This is definitely a product I recommend checking out, especially if you are a big nail polish fan :-)

♥ You are looking for a quick and easy way to remove nail polish.
♥ You like the idea behind this product.
♥ You like pink packaging.

You might not like this product if:

♥ You wear glitter nail polish often.
♥ You don't like that strong nail polish remover scent.
♥ You prefer using a regular cotton pad and nail polish remover.

Ingredients:
Ethyl Acetate, Alcohol, Aqua/Water, Glycerin, Perfum/Fragrance, Persea Gratissima Oil/Avocado Oil, Benzyl Salicylate, Benzophenone-1, Benzyl Alcohol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Eugenol, Linalool, Geraniol, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, C142090/Blue 1 (F.I.L. D55321/1).

Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink: Review, Photos & Swatches

♥ Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink.

Description:
A luxurious powder blush that features a mélange infusion of colors baked on Italian terracotta tiles. Easy to use, sensorial in texture, the nuances of color become extraordinarily luminous. Silky smooth application leaves your face looking healthy and radiant all day.

My Thoughts:
Milani's Baked Blush in Dolce Pink ($7.99 for 0.12 oz/3.5g.) is a medium pink blush with golden shimmer. It's very easy to work with, the pigmentation is nice and it blends beautifully into the skin. The golden shimmer gives my skin such a nice glow, so I don't even wear a highlighter when I'm wearing this on my cheeks.

All of the Baked Blushes from Milani come in this really pretty gold container, which I think looks very cute and sleek. You also get a mirror and a little brush, which is great for travelling. I normally don't use the brush that comes with the blush in the container, but it can definitely be useful if you are going to travel and you don't want to take a bunch of makeup brushes with you.

Dolce Pink is actually very similar to Orgasm by NARS, which is another favorite off mine. Here, I have swatched them side by side so you can see how similar they really are. Right below is a picture of Dolce Pink on my cheeks :-)

♥ Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink.

Overall, I really like Dolce Pink. The quality is great, and the pigmentation is wonderful. The baked blushes by Milani, are definitely some of the best blushes available in the beauty world. How awesome would it be, if Milani decided to release some new shades in this range? That is something I would love to see from them in the future, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed :-)

Outfit Of The Day: Mint, Patterns & Denim

Hey Everyone :-)
Happy Sunday, hope you guys are having an amazing day. Today's look is all about my newest purchase from Fancy Steps, this beautiful mint green peplum top. I decided to pair it with this gorgeous black and white skirt from Gina Tricot, black booties by Jenny Skavlan for Bik Bok and my favorite denim vest, also from Gina Tricot.

I love how this look turned out. At first, I was just going with the peplum top, boots and skirt but I thought it looked a little too dressy. So that's when I decided to add the denim vest, which I think makes the look more casual and relaxed .What do you guys think? :-)

 What I'm Wearing:
Denim Vest from Gina Tricot.
Peplum Top from Fancy Steps.
Skirt from Gina Tricot.
Shoes by Jenny Skavlan for Bik Bok

What do you think about the look? How was your weekend? :-) Love, Christine♥

Cowshed Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream: Review, Photos & Swatches

♥ Cowshed Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream.

Description:
Delicately scented with grapefruit and coriander, this hand cream sinks in quickly, leaving skin well nourished. This little tube of Cowshed's signature Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream is sure to protect your hooves and restore softness. With essential oils of grapefruit to tone and coriander to stimulate circulation, this refreshing cream will leave your hands soft and smooth, all the while fitting neatly in your handbag.

♥ Cowshed Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream.

My Thoughts:
I love how moisturizing this hand cream is, and how soft and smooth my hands feel after using it. It absorbs rather quickly into my skin, but it does feel a little oily afterwards which I'm not the biggest fan of. After it has absorbed into the skin, the oiliness will disappear.

It's got a very fresh and clean scent, which I really like. Simon thinks the scent is too strong, but I actually like it. The scent is a little strong at first, but it will get softer once it has absorbed into the skin. Cowshed's formulations are suitable for vegetarians and contain no animal products except organic beeswax and wild flower honey.

♥ Cowshed Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream.

The Cowshed Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream come in a black tube with a white flower design, which I think looks very beautiful and girly. I also love the size of the tube. It's very small and handy, and it makes a great little companion for your handbag :-)

I'm so happy that I received this lovely hand cream in my April GlossyBox, because I don't think I would have discovered it otherwise. You can check out GlossyBox HERE.

Tag: Colors Of The Rainbow

 Hey Everyone :-)
I just came across the ''Colors Of The Rainbow'' tag through Ingrid (missglamorazzi) and Elle (allthatglitters21) on YouTube. I had a lot of fun watching their awesome videos, and I thought it would be fun to do the tag as well.

Let me know if you like this post, and if you have tried out any of the products I'm talking about. If you have done this tag, please leave your link in the comments down below so I can check it out :-)

Colors Of The Rainbow:
♥ Red♥ Orange♥ Yellow♥ Green♥ Blue♥Indigo♥Violet♥Pink♥Multicolored.

Redken Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner:
I have been using the Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner from Redken for a while now, and I really like them. These are for people with color-treated hair (which I don't have), but you can still use them on your hair. My hair color looks more vibrant, shiny and it feels a lot softer since I started using these. They smell amazing as well, which is always a huge plus for me :-)

 Covergirl LashBlast Volume Mascara:
The Covergirl LashBlast Volume Mascara is my favorite mascara at the moment. I really like that it gives my lashes some nice volume, and lenght as well. It doesn't look clumpy or flaky on my lashes, which makes my love this product even more. The packaging is very simple, but still cute in my opinion. I use this mascara almost every single day, and I highly recommend that you check it out :-)

H&M Nail Polish in Going Bananas:
Going Bananas is a pretty pastel yellow nail polish with shimmer. I'm a big fan of these nail polishes from H&M. I think that they are great, they are super affordable and they have a great selection of colors available in stores and online. The packaging is really cute, and I like that the name of the nail polish is on top of the cap. Going Bananas is a beautiful shade for spring and summer, and I can't wait to wear it :-)

Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes:
These have been my go-to cleansing facial wipes for removing any makeup on my face. I think that they remove makeup very well, they feel nice on my skin and they are very moisturizing as well. They have a very refreshing scent, which I really like :-)

L'Oreal Paris Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover Waterproof:
I'm a big fan of this Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover from L'Oreal Paris. I think that it removes my eye makeup very well, both regular and waterproof makeup. It doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes, which is a huge plus for me. If you are looking for a good and affordable makeup remover for your eyes, definitely check this one out :-)

EOS Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream in Lavender Jasmine:
I just can't get enough of this shaving cream from EOS, I love it. It's packed with natural conditioning oils, shea butter and antioxidant vitamins E and C to provide 24 hours of ultra-soothing moisture. It's so moisturizing, and it leaves my skin so soft and smooth. I highly recommend that you check it out, it's an amazing shaving cream. I only have a few more uses left, so I need to pick up another bottle soon :-)

EOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet:
I'm obsessed with the Smooth Sphere Lip Balms from EOS, and Strawberry Sorbet is one of my favorites scents. It's very moisturizing and it leaves my lips soft and smooth for hours, without feeling greasy or sticky. This is definitely a must have product for me :-)

MAC Cosmetics Eyeshadows:
For the multicolored part of this tag, I decided to go with my eyeshadows from MAC Cosmetics. I recently depotted my MAC eyeshadows (you can check out my tutorial here), and now I store them in this pink palette from Z.palette. As you probably can tell by looking at my collection of MAC eyeshadows, I love my neutrals but I do have a few colors that I like as well. I have been loving Brule lateley, it's just the perfect highlight/all over the lid shade.

I don't regret depotting my MAC eyeshadows, because now I have them all in one place. Let me know if you want me to do a blog post and show you swatches of the MAC eyeshadows that I have in my collection. If that is something you would like to see, I would be more than happy to do so :-)

Have you done this tag? What tag do you want to see next? :-) Love, Christine♥
