MONTHLY FAVORITES: FEBRUARY 2015

Another month has flown by, which means that it's time for me to share the products that I have been enjoying during the month of February. I have been sticking to a lot of the same products as I showed you in my previous favorites post, but there are also a couple of new products thrown into the mix as well which I will be sharing with you guys in today's post. Let's take a closer look at them! :-)

♥ Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer, (HERE).

I have been using the Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer by Smashbox Cosmetics quite a lot throughout the entire month of February. It's very hydrating on the under eye area and it makes both the foundation and concealer go on a lot smoother and more even. I haven't noticed a lot of creasing with my concealer since I started using this primer under my eyes, which is one of the reasons why I have been loving it so much! :-)

♥ Milani Cosmetics Baked Blush in Berry Amore, (HERE).

Another product that I have been loving and that you might be very familiar with is the Baked Blush in Berry Amore by Milani Cosmetics. I have mentioned this particular blush quite a few times here on Makeup, Beauty & Fashion and I'm glad to have re-discovered my love for it. Berry Amore is a beautiful, berry toned blush with golden shimmer. It's easy to apply and it blends flawlessly into the skin. Since it has quite a lot of shimmer, it can be used as a blush and highlighter in one. I don't wear highlighter whenever I'm wearing this blush on my cheeks, because I don't feel the need to.

The Baked Blushes from Milani Cosmetics are some of my all time favorite blushes, highly recommend that you check them out if you haven't done it already! :-)

♥ Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Mauve, (HERE).

Another product that I re-discovered back in February is the Revlon Colourburst lipstick in Mauve. It's a pretty pinky mauve, which looks very flattering and pretty on the lips. It instantly brightens up the face, giving the lips a beautiful flush of color. Mauve is the perfect lipstick for everyday wear and I have been quite obsessed with it for a while now. It's truly a gorgeous shade, which I think is a total must have if you are into these type of shades! :-)

♥ Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lip Gloss in Smooth Talker, (HERE).

The Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie lip gloss in Smooth Talker has quickly become a favorite of mine. Smooth Talker is a pretty peachy pink with golden shimmer. It feels very comfortable on the lips and it stays put a good while before it needs to be re-applied. It doesn't feel too sticky on the lips, which is one of the reasons why I have been loving it so much. It leaves behind a slight tingle on the lips but nothing too crazy compared to the Bare Escentuals Buxom Full-On Lip Polishes, if you are familiar with those! :-)

♥ NARS Cosmetics Sheer Glow Foundation in Mont Blanc, (HERE).

I have been wanting to try out the NARS Sheer Glow foundation for such a long time now, so I decided to pick up a sample of it on eBay. I picked up the shade Mont Blanc, which is the second lightest shade in the Sheer Glow range. It has a pink undertone to it, which suit my complexion quite nicely. So far I really like it! I love how it looks on my skin, lovely coverage without being over the top. I'm thinking about picking up the full size bottle soon, that's how much I have been enjoying it. Do you know if it's possible to buy a pump for it? I don't like that it doesn't come with one! :-)

So there you have it, my favorite beauty products for the month of February. What products have you been loving in February? Any products I should check out? :-)

- Love, Christine ♥

TAG: LIP PRODUCT ADDICT

Hey guys, how are you doing today? I hope that you are having a lovely day! I recently came across the Lip Product Addict tag over at Leah's blog Reviews on Beauty. I'm obsessed with lip products, especially lipsticks, so I thought it would be fun to do this tag as well! There are seven questions in total, so let's get started! :-)

♥ EOS Lip Balm in Summer Fruit & LUSH Cosmetics Lip Scrub in Mint Julips.

1. Favourite Balm or Treatment:
My favorite balm is hands down the Summer Fruit Lip Balm by EOS. It makes my lips so soft and smooth, I'm obsessed. As for treatments, I love the Mint Julips Lip Scrub from LUSH Cosmetics. It does a really nice job exfoliating the lips. My lips always feel super soft and luscious afterwards. Highly recommend them! :-)

♥ Rimmel London Lip Lacquer in Stellar.

2. Best Eye-Catching Red:
As I have mentioned a few times before, I have never been a big fan off red lipsticks. I do have a few in my collection, but I hardly ever wear them. I don't think that they look that good on me to be honest, maybe I just haven't found the right kind off red that suits me and my skin tone.

I do like the Rimmel London Lip Lacquer in Stellar though. It's not a true red, it's more off a bright pink with hint off red. It's one off those shades that lights up your face and make you look alive, if that makes any sense, LOL! :-)

♥ Rimmel London Lip Lacquer in Stellar.

♥ YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in #20 Spicy Pink.

3. Best Luxury & Best Drugstore Lip Product:
The best luxury lip product that I own is by YSL. I have two off their Rouge Volupte lipsticks in my makeup collection. I like both off the shades, but my favorite is #20 Spicy Pink. It's a pretty dusty rose with a slight mauve undertone. It's incredible creamy and it looks very glossy on the lips. I really want to get my hands on a few more shades, too bad they are so expensive.

As for the best drugstore lip product, I'm a big fan off the Milani Color Statement Lipsticks and the NYX Cosmetics Round Lipsticks. Revlon also have a bunch off really nice shades as well, I adore their Lip Butter range! :-)

♥ Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Naturally Chic, NYX Round Lipstick in Paris & Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie.

4. Best MAC Lipstick:
I have a couple off MAC lipsticks that I really like and find myself reaching for a lot. They are called Playtime and Taupe. Unfortunately, Playtime was released as part off the Venomous Villains Collection for Disney, so I'm not sure if you can find it anymore. You might be able to find it on eBay or maybe Amazon! :-)

♥ MAC Cosmetics Lipstick in Taupe & Playtime.

5. Most Disappointing Lip Product:
I can't think off a lip product that has disappointed me. I usually just get rid off products that I don't like/doesn't work with me. I'm sure there have been a few lip products that I haven't enjoyed, but I can't think off any right now! :-)

6. Lip Liner - Yes or No?
I actually don't have a lot off lip liners in my makeup collection. I have a couple off the Slim Lip Liners from NYX Cosmetics that I like, but it's been a while since I have used them! :-)

♥ Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Nude Lustre & Pink Afterglow.

7. Favourite Gloss:
I'm a big fan off the Revlon Super Lustrous lip glosses. Pink Afterglow and Nude Lustre is my favorite shades from that range. I also love the NYX Cosmetics Butter Glosses in Tiramisu and Strawberry Parfait. I also have to mention Revenge is Sweet by MAC, which came out with the Disney Villain collection. I love pairing that particular lip gloss with the Playtime lipstick by MAC Cosmetics! :-)

♥ NYX Cosmetics Butter Gloss in Tiramisu and Strawberry Parfait. MAC Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Revenge is Sweet.

Have you done this tag? If you haven't done it already, I tag you to do it. Make sure to send me your link, because I would love to see it. Hope you enjoyed going through my answers :-) Love, Christine♥

MY MONTHLY FAVORITES: JANUARY 2014

♥ Monthly Favorites: January 2014.

Happy Monday lovelies, how are you all doing today? Did you have a nice weekend? Simon and I saw the movie The Wolf of Wall Street on Saturday, which was freaking fantastic. Have you guys seen it yet? I highly recommend that you go and check it out if you haven't seen it. I love Leonardo DiCaprio as an actor and this was one off his best performances, if not the best! Totally worth checking out :-)

Anyway, another month has passed, can you believe it? I haven't done a monthly favorites post in a while now, so I'm excited to share my favorites with you. I don't have too many beauty products to share with you, but there are still some really great items here. So without further ado, here are the items that I have been loving for the month off January! :-)

♥ L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Base Pure Light Primer.

I have been using the L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Base Pure Light Primer every single day during the month off January. I like to mix it with my BB cream or foundation, it gives my skin such a pretty and natural looking glow. It can also be applied like a regular primer before foundation, but I find mixing them together is a lot easier and less messy as well. If you love glowy looking skin, you might want to check out this product! :-)

♥ Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette & Clinique Color Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Like Mink.

♥ Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette & Clinique Color Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Like Mink.

My go-to eyeshadows for the month off January has been the Naked Basics Palette by Urban Decay, and the Color Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Like Mink by Clinique. The Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette is such a nice and handly little palette, perfect for creating quick and easy neutral eye looks. The Clinique Color Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Like Mink is a pretty little duo, which I have been taking with me on vacation trips a lot. It's quick, easy and it doesn't take up much room in your makeup bag! :-)

♥ Milani Cosmetics Baked Blush in Luminoso.

The baked blushes by Milani Cosmetics are some off my favorite blushes on the beauty market. They are so pretty and I love how pigmented they all are (a little goes a long way with these). They don't have the biggest shade selection, but the shades that they do have are gorgeous. Luminoso is a pretty peach with shimmer. It's really easy to blend and it gives the skin such a pretty glow. If you haven't tried out Milani's baked blushes yet, I highly recommend that you give them a go. Berry Amore, Dolce Pink and Luminoso are my favorites! :-)

♥ Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate lipstick in 08 Rossetto.

The Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate lipstick in 08 Rossetto has been my favorite lipstick for the month off January. It's easy to apply and it feels very creamy and moisturizing on the lips. My lips have been awfully dry lately due to the cold weather, so I'm trying to keep my lips as hydrated as I can. I'm very pleased with this lipstick, and I'm very curious about trying out a few off the other shades in the range! :-)

♥ TV Show: Sons Of Anarchy. Photo Source, HERE

A non beauty favorite this month has been the TV show Sons of Anarchy. I'm on season 5 at the moment, and it just keeps getting better and better. It's about a guy who struggles to find a balance in his life between being a new dad and being involved in a motorcycle club.

The show is really addicting, so you won't be able to stop watching it, LOL! Let me know if you decide to check it out, would love to hear what you think about it. If you are keeping up with the show, who is your favorite character? I love Jax, Tig and Tara! :-)

Which products have you been loving for the month off January? What TV shows are you currently watching? Any favorites? :-) Love, Christine♥

MILANI COSMETICS NEON NAIL LACQUER IN PINK HOTTIE: REVIEW, PHOTOS & SWATCHES

♥ Milani Neon Nail Lacquer in Pink Hottie.

Milani Neon Nail Lacquer in Pink Hottie ($4.49 for 13.2 ml/0.45 fl.oz.) is a bright medium pink. It's very easy to apply, it's a tiny bit sheer on the first coat but it doesn't look streaky/patchy on my nails. The consistensy is thin, but not too runny. It dries quickly, and it's fully opaque in three coats.

Like most neon nail polishes, Pink Hottie dries matte. I have never been a big fan off the matte finish, so I always make sure to finish off the look with a shiny top coat. I'm currently using Gloss Boss by Glitter Gal Australia, which I have been enjoying a lot lately.

♥ Milani Neon Nail Lacquer in Pink Hottie.

One off my all-time favorite neon pinks is Essie's Pink Parka, which was released back in 2009 as part off their Fall collection. Unfortunately Essie decided to discontinue it, so I'm always keeping my eyes open for a possible dupe. I thought Pink Hottie would be similar to Pink Parka, but it's not even close to it. Pink Hottie is a lot darker than Pink Parka. Pink Parka is a straight up fluorescent pink, definitely an ''in your face'' kind off color! :-)

♥ Milani Neon Nail Lacquer in Pink Hottie.

Overall, I think Pink Hottie is a great shade for Spring and Summer. I have always been a big fan off neons, because they are so fun to wear and they make the nails stand out from everything else. If your not a big fan off those super bright neon nail polishes (bright like a fluorescent marker), Pink Hottie might be for you. It's a little more on the darker side, but still a pretty bright shade. It's currently on sale for only $1.99 at BeautyJoint, which is an awesome deal. So if you are thinking about trying it out, now is definitely a great time to do so! :-)

CHERRY CULTURE BEAUTY HAUL: CHINA GLAZE, NYX, MILANI & MORE

Hey Everyone :-)
How are you doing today? Hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I have a beauty haul to share with you guys. Simon and I recently had our 6 year anniversary! He surprised me with a little money treat, which I could spend on whatever I wanted. I ended up ordering a bunch off beauty items, which shouldn't come as a shock to anyone, LOL!

I decided to place a sneaky little order at Cherry Culture, which is one off my favorite websites for beauty products. I picked up a few items, which I have been wanting to add to my collection for a while now. I also ordered a few items from eBay which I'm super excited about, but I will share those with you in another blog post very soon! :-)

Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink: Review, Photos & Swatches

♥ Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink.

Description:
A luxurious powder blush that features a mélange infusion of colors baked on Italian terracotta tiles. Easy to use, sensorial in texture, the nuances of color become extraordinarily luminous. Silky smooth application leaves your face looking healthy and radiant all day.

My Thoughts:
Milani's Baked Blush in Dolce Pink ($7.99 for 0.12 oz/3.5g.) is a medium pink blush with golden shimmer. It's very easy to work with, the pigmentation is nice and it blends beautifully into the skin. The golden shimmer gives my skin such a nice glow, so I don't even wear a highlighter when I'm wearing this on my cheeks.

All of the Baked Blushes from Milani come in this really pretty gold container, which I think looks very cute and sleek. You also get a mirror and a little brush, which is great for travelling. I normally don't use the brush that comes with the blush in the container, but it can definitely be useful if you are going to travel and you don't want to take a bunch of makeup brushes with you.

Dolce Pink is actually very similar to Orgasm by NARS, which is another favorite off mine. Here, I have swatched them side by side so you can see how similar they really are. Right below is a picture of Dolce Pink on my cheeks :-)

♥ Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink.

Overall, I really like Dolce Pink. The quality is great, and the pigmentation is wonderful. The baked blushes by Milani, are definitely some of the best blushes available in the beauty world. How awesome would it be, if Milani decided to release some new shades in this range? That is something I would love to see from them in the future, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed :-)

Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Amber Nectar: Review, Photos & Swatches

♥ Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Amber Nectar.

About The Product:
Milani's Illuminating Face Powder is an ultra-smooth, multi-color blush, bronzer & highlighter. It gives the skin a hint of color with a lit-from-within radiant healthy glow. It's suitable for all skin types and tones.

♥ Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Amber Nectar.

♥ Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Amber Nectar.

♥ Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Amber Nectar.

♥ Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Amber Nectar.

My Thoughts:
Milani's Illuminating Face Powder in Amber Nectar is a multipurpose product, which means that it can be used for several different things. It can be used on the cheeks to give them a nice color, to highlight your face, and as a bronzer to give your face a pretty and natural glow. But that's not all, It can also be used on the eyes which I think is pretty awesome. When you blend all of the shades together, you get a beautiful peachy golden shade, which looks very pretty and it gives your skin a sun kissed look.

It's very easy to apply, and it blends beautifully into the skin. It's not that pigmented, but I think that's a good thing since it's such a shimmery product. I prefer to blend all the colors together and use it on my cheeks for a soft and pretty color, or to highlight my face. When I'm wearing it on my cheeks, I like to apply it with my e.l.f. Cosmetics Kabuki Face Brush. On days that I just want to use it to highlight my face, I prefer using my Real Techniques Setting Brush. I think this is a wonderful product, it just brightens up the complexion and gives you a beautiful and natural looking glow.

♥ Here I'm wearing Amber Nectar on my cheeks and on the eyes as well :-)

Don't you just love the packaging and design of this product? I think it looks so beautiful! It comes in this pretty golden compact with a clear lid. I love that the lid is clear, because it let's me see the true color of the product. It's got an embossed rose design, which looks stunning and quite high-end if you ask me. The rose design is deeply cut into the powder, so it's not going to disappear after you have used it a few times :-)

You might like this product if:
♥ You are a big fan of multipurpose products.
♥ You like the sun kissed look.
♥ You love pretty packaging.
♥ You like a nice and natural glow.

You might not like this product if:
♥ You don't like shimmery products.
♥ You prefer to wear matte blushes/bronzers.
♥ You expect more pigmentation.
