WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS: 2014

Happy New Year!!! How are you guys doing today? I hope you guys are having an amazing day so far and that the new year is treating you well. I have been seeing quite a lot of these ''What I Got For Christmas'' posts and videos on YouTube, so I thought that it would be fun to do one myself and show you some of the items that I received for Christmas.

I received quite a few beauty items from my parents. I was very lucky to be able to pick out a couple of these items myself. I love it when I'm able to do that, because then I know for sure that I will receive something that I'm going to enjoy and have a lot of fun with. I can't wait to play around with everything that I received for Christmas, especially the Sweet Dreams Bon Voyage set from Tarte Cosmetics. I have been wanting to try out their eyeshadows for the longest time, because I have heard so many great things about them. Have you had a chance to try out Tarte Cosmetics's eyeshadows yet? TAG: TOP 10

I came across the Top 10 tag over at Cliona's blog called Cliona Hill, which was originally created by Jessica from Pretty Chit Chat. I wasn't tagged by the girls to do this, but I thought it would be fun to do it anyway since I'm a huge fan of fun tags like this one.

The Top 10 tag is all about the top 10 beauty products that you can't live without. So if you were going away and you could only take one item from each category with you, what products would you pick? This is where it gets interesting, lol. I have so many favorite products that I love and adore, so it's definitely not easy for me to choose just ten products. I finally managed to narrow it down to just ten products. These are all products that I have been a fan of for a while now, some are even favorites that I have been loving for a couple of years. Keep reading to find out what products I chose for my ''going away'' trip! :-) 

 ♥ Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 110 & 115, HERE. 

1. Foundation: 

There are lots of foundations that I really like and love to use, but my favorite one is hands down the Fit Me Foundation by Maybelline. I have talked about this foundation a lot in previous blog posts, like my monthly favorites.

The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is very easy to apply. It looks very natural on the skin and it doesn't feel heavy or look cakey. It has a lovely finish, which makes my skin look very nice and fresh. I use both 110 and 115. 110 has a yellow undertone and looks a bit too light on it's own, while 115 has a pink undertone but is a little on the darker side. I like to mix and match both of these shades together to create a more wearable shade for myself. It's not always easy being a pale ghost in the beauty world! :-)

2. Powder: 

I'm loving the Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder by Rimmel London. I have been using it almost every single day since the lovely Krystal from Beauty by Krystal sent it to me in a swap that we did together a while ago.

I mostly use the Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder to set and prevent my under eye concealer from moving around throughout the day. Sometimes, I like to use it on the rest of my face too, just to keep my foundation in place if it's a hot day. It's such a nice powder. It works great and it's really affordable as well! :-)

3. Concealer:
Definitely the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. It's very easy to blend and it has a nice coverage as well. I love using it with the Fit Me foundation, because they work so well together. It doesn't crease too much under my eyes. I prefer to apply just a little concealer under my eyes, then go back and apply more if I feel like I need some more coverage. That way I won't apply too much product at once and it's going to prevent it from creasing and looking cakey.

This is my second tube of the Fit Me concealer. I don't have much left in the tube, so I need to get my hands on a new one soon! :-)

 ♥ Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta, HERE.

4. Blush:
I have been obsessed with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta for the past month. This blush is rather new to my makeup collection, but I have been using it almost every single day since I got it. It blends easily into the skin. It's got a bit of shimmer in it, which gives the cheeks a nice glow. You can build it up and make it more intense if you want to, or you can sheer it and make it look very natural on the cheeks.

I know that Hourglass isn't the cheapest brand out there, but this blush is so worth the money in my opionion. Everything about this blush is just beautiful. If you are thinking about splurging on an Ambient Lighting Blush from Hourglass, Radiant Magenta is a good choice! :-)

5. Bronzer:
I have been really into the Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder by The Body Shop. It looks very natural on the skin. It's easy to apply and blend, has nice pigmentation, it's build able and it doesn't make you look orange like some bronzers do. After hearing so many lovely things about this bronzer, I just had to add it to my collection. It's the perfect bronzer for girls with a fair/light skin tone.

6. Highlighter:
I'm still sticking to my MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle. It's been my favorite highlighter for the past couple of years now, it's also my most used highlighter in my entire makeup collection. I just love how it looks on the skin, very beautiful and glowy.

Soft and Gente isn't one of the the most affordable highlighters on the beauty market, but I think it's worth every penny. A little goes a long way with this one so it's going to last you a very long time, definitely a must have in my book! :-) 

 ♥ Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Mascara, HERE. 

7. Mascara:
The Rimmel London Lash Accelerator is my favorite mascara at the moment. I used to use it a couple of years ago, but didn't re-purchase it because I had a lot of other mascaras that I needed to use up first. I decided to pick it up again at Boots in London, because I remembered how much I used to love it. I'm so happy that I decided to pick it up again, because I have fallen in love with it all over again.

I love that it doesn't clump or make my lashes stick together. It gives my lashes nice length and volume and it's build able as well. I will definitely be picking up a couple of backups of this mascara soon! :-)

8. Eyeshadow:
Neutral eyeshadows have always been a weakness of mine when it comes to beauty products, because they are some of my favorite products to test and try out. I always find single eyeshadows or palettes that I want to try out, regardless if I have something similar to it in my collection already.

One of my favorite and most used palettes is the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. It's such a nice, every day kind of palette. The eyeshadows are soft and they feel quite smooth, they are nicely pigmented and easy to blend. I really want to get my hands on the Naked Basics 2 palette, it looks gorgeous.  ♥ Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow, HERE. 

9. Brows:
Definitely Gimme Brow by Benefit Cosmetics. It's been my go-to brow product for a month now and I couldn't be any more happier with it. I have never been good at filling in my brows with powder, so this has been a big game changer for my brows. It's really quick and easy to use and it makes the brows look very natural and pretty. I reviewed it a couple of weeks ago. If you haven't seen it yet, you can find it HERE! :-)

10. Lip Product:
I'm not going to lie, I have become a little addicted to the Carmex Lip Balm in Cherry and it has quickly turned into a big favorite of mine. It feels nice on the lips without being greasy or sticky. I love applying it at night right before I go to bed, because it make my lips so smooth and soft when I wake up the next morning. I reviewed it a while ago. WHAT'S IN MY TRAVEL MAKEUP BAG?

Hello lovelies, how is your Wednesday going? I hope that you are all doing well and that you are enjoying what's left off this beautiful day. Today's post is going to be a ''What's In My Travel Makeup Bag''. I'm going to London on holiday on Sunday, so I wanted to show you which beauty products I'm planning on taking with me on the trip.

I'm only going to be in London for four days, so I haven't packed too many items with me. I usually tend to go a little overboard with my packing, but I think that I did quite well this time. What do you guys think? :-)

 ♥ Lori Greiner Leopard Printed Quilted Makeup Bag. 

To keep everything safe and sound, I'm taking my leopard printed quilted cosmetic case by Lori Greiner. This bag is fantastic for travel. It feels so sturdy and compact, and it has clear pockets which is genius. I love being able to see everything inside the bag. There isn't too much room for the products to move around inside the bag either, which is another thing that I really love about this makeup bag. It even has a little department for your makeup brushes too! :-)

I will be doing a bit off shopping while I'm in London! I would really appreciate some tips and suggestions on beauty/clothing stores that I must visit while I'm there. I'm planning on going to Boots and Superdrug, but don't have any other stores on my list yet.

TAG: LIP PRODUCT ADDICT

Hey guys, how are you doing today? I hope that you are having a lovely day! I recently came across the Lip Product Addict tag over at Leah's blog Reviews on Beauty. I'm obsessed with lip products, especially lipsticks, so I thought it would be fun to do this tag as well! There are seven questions in total, so let's get started! :-) 

 ♥ EOS Lip Balm in Summer Fruit & LUSH Cosmetics Lip Scrub in Mint Julips. 

1. Favourite Balm or Treatment:
My favorite balm is hands down the Summer Fruit Lip Balm by EOS. It makes my lips so soft and smooth, I'm obsessed. As for treatments, I love the Mint Julips Lip Scrub from LUSH Cosmetics. It does a really nice job exfoliating the lips. My lips always feel super soft and luscious afterwards. Highly recommend them! :-)

 ♥ Rimmel London Lip Lacquer in Stellar. 

2. Best Eye-Catching Red:
As I have mentioned a few times before, I have never been a big fan off red lipsticks. I do have a few in my collection, but I hardly ever wear them. I don't think that they look that good on me to be honest, maybe I just haven't found the right kind off red that suits me and my skin tone.

I do like the Rimmel London Lip Lacquer in Stellar though. It's not a true red, it's more off a bright pink with hint off red. It's one off those shades that lights up your face and make you look alive, if that makes any sense, LOL! :-)

3. Best Luxury & Best Drugstore Lip Product:
The best luxury lip product that I own is by YSL. I have two off their Rouge Volupte lipsticks in my makeup collection. I like both off the shades, but my favorite is #20 Spicy Pink. It's a pretty dusty rose with a slight mauve undertone. It's incredible creamy and it looks very glossy on the lips. I really want to get my hands on a few more shades, too bad they are so expensive.

As for the best drugstore lip product, I'm a big fan off the Milani Color Statement Lipsticks and the NYX Cosmetics Round Lipsticks. Revlon also have a bunch off really nice shades as well, I adore their Lip Butter range! :-)

4. Best MAC Lipstick:
I have a couple off MAC lipsticks that I really like and find myself reaching for a lot. They are called Playtime and Taupe. Unfortunately, Playtime was released as part off the Venomous Villains Collection for Disney, so I'm not sure if you can find it anymore. You might be able to find it on eBay or maybe Amazon! :-)

5. Most Disappointing Lip Product:
I can't think off a lip product that has disappointed me. I usually just get rid off products that I don't like/doesn't work with me. I'm sure there have been a few lip products that I haven't enjoyed, but I can't think off any right now! :-)

6. Lip Liner - Yes or No?
I actually don't have a lot off lip liners in my makeup collection. I have a couple off the Slim Lip Liners from NYX Cosmetics that I like, but it's been a while since I have used them! :-)

 ♥ Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Nude Lustre & Pink Afterglow. 

7. Favourite Gloss:

I'm a big fan off the Revlon Super Lustrous lip glosses. Pink Afterglow and Nude Lustre is my favorite shades from that range. I also love the NYX Cosmetics Butter Glosses in Tiramisu and Strawberry Parfait. I also have to mention Revenge is Sweet by MAC, which came out with the Disney Villain collection. I love pairing that particular lip gloss with the Playtime lipstick by MAC Cosmetics! :-)

THE LIPSTICK TAG

I came across this fun tag called The Lipstick Tag over at Jules's blog For Vanity's Sake. I'm a teeny bit obsessed with lipsticks, so I thought it would be fun to jump on the band wagon and do this tag as well. Who doesn't like a good old tag post every once and a while? 

Let me know if there are any other tag posts you would like me to do, I would be more than happy to do them. Let's move onto the questions, shall we? Here we go! :-)

1. How many lipsticks do you own?
I currently have 127 lipsticks in my collection! :-) 

2. What was the first lipstick you owned?
I can't remember my very first lipstick, I think it might have been one from L'Oreal Paris . I used to steal my mom's lipsticks before I got really into makeup, LOL.

3. What is your favorite lipstick brand?
There are so many good ones, so it's impossible for me to just pick one, LOL. Some off my favorite lipstick brands are NYX Cosmetics, Revlon and L'Oreal Paris. Milani Cosmetics, Rimmel London and YSL make great ones as well.

4. What is your most worn lipstick?
Definitely Fairest Nude by L'Oreal Paris! I've gone through several tubes off that lipstick. It's such a pretty, wearable nude, which doesn't wash me out since it's a bit on the darker side.

5. What is your favorite finish?
I have always been a big fan off the creamy, shiny finishes!

6. What was the last lipstick you bought?
I just recently picked up two off the H&M Lip Pens in Cherry Lips and Natural Beauty. I'm very excited to try them out and see how they work. Both shades look very pretty.

7. How many lip products do you currently have in your bag?
I currently have the Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate lipstick in 08 Rossetto and a bunch of EOS lip balms in my bag. Love me some EOS lip balms, LOL! :-)

8. What is your favorite red lip color?
I have never been really into red lip colors to be honest, but if I had to choose one it would have to be Red Velvet from the Revlon Lip Butter range. It's more off a darker red based brown, very pretty and crazy pigmented!

 9. How do you store your lipsticks?
I store my lipsticks in a Muji drawer. I also have a couple off acrylic lipstick holders that I got from a store called Søstrene Grene. I absolutely love them! :-)

10. Which lipsticks are you currently lusting after?
I'm currently lusting after Kinda Sexy by MAC and the Revlon Lip Butter in Sorbet.

What's In My Travel Makeup Bag?

I packed everything in my Urban Decay Quinceanera makeup bag, which is my favorite makeup bag to take with me whenever I'm going on vacation. The size of the bag is great, it's nice and sturdy and it can hold a lot of products. It's the perfect makeup bag for me :-)
