PRODUCTS WORTH BUYING VOL.1: KORRES LIP BUTTERS

Hey Everyone :-)
How are you doing today? Hope you are having a wonderful day! I have a new type of blog post for you guys today. I have been blogging for a couple off years now and I have come across quite a few beauty favorites on my journey. So I have decided to start this new series on my blog called ''Products Worth Buying''.

In these type off blog posts I will be sharing my favorite beauty products, which are all products that I truly love and recommend. I will also be doing a little review off the product that I'm talking about, and also show you some swatches as well. I can't wait to start sharing more off my favorite products with you, maybe you will find a new favorite as well? :-)

♥ Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine.

♥ Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine.

The first product that I want to talk about is the Korres Lip Butters. Now that Fall is here and it's starting to get a lot colder outside, my lips tend to get extra dry. Chapped lips can be really painful, so that's why I always need to have a good lip balm at home and in my handbag as well.

The Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine has been my go-to lip balm and also my best friend during the Fall and Winter months. It comes in a white container with a baby pink lid. The container is quite small, which makes it a perfect little handbag campanion. The consistency of the lip balm is quite thick, so it helps keep my lips nicely moisturized and hydrated throughout the day. Jasmine has a sweet scent, which I really enjoy and it's also got a little bit of a tint as well. The tint doesn't show up that well on my lips, since they are quite pigmented! :-)

Although Jasmine is my favorite lip butter by Korres, there are a few other shades in the same range that I like as well. If you are looking for a lip butter with a little more pigmentation than Jasmine, Quince or Pomegranate are great choices. Korres also makes a product called Lip Butter Glaze, which is basically the same product but in a tube form :-)

I think that the Korres Lip Butters are wonderful lip balms, especially if you suffer from dry lips like myself. They are not the most affordable lip balms on the beauty market, but I think that they are totally worth the money :-)

What do you think about the Korres lip butters? Which shade is your favorite one? :-)
Love, Christine♥

Products I've Used Up: July & August 2013

Hey Everyone :-)
How are you guys doing today? I hope you all are having a wonderful day. I have a new empties post to share with you. I know this post is very late, but better late then never, right? I managed to use up some products over the last couple off months. They have been laying around for such a long time now, so I thought it was time for me to finally do this post and share the items with you. I can't wait to finally throw everything out now, LOL!

I hope you enjoy this empties post! Let me know in the comments down below if you have tried out any of the products below, and which items you managed to use up during July and August :-)

L'Oreal Paris Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover Waterproof:
L'Oreal Paris's Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover Waterproof has been my go-to makeup remover for a long time now. I think that it does a great job removing my makeup, both regular and waterproof. This is definitely a product I'm going to stick with, until I find a new favorite :-)

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel For Body and Hair:
I'm a huge fan off Lush and their yummy smelling products, and Snow Fairy is a great product to have in your shower. It's got a very fruity and sweet candy scent, which I really enjoy. It can be used as a body wash and even on your hair. I personally prefer to use it as a body wash, just because I find it to be a little drying on my hair. It does have a lot off blue glitter in it, but it didn't show up on my skin at all. Snow Fairy is definitely a product I would buy again. I think I'm going to pick up a bigger bottle if it comes back around Christmas time :-)

Paris Hilton Fairy Dust Perfume:
This used to be one of my favorite perfumes a couple off years ago. It's got a very strong scent, so a little goes a long way with this one. Some of the notes in Fairy Dust is pink peony, orange blossom, musk and vanilla cream. Since I really don't care for the scent anymore, I won't be repurchasing it :-)

Covergirl Lashblast Volume Mascara in Black:
After hearing so many wonderful things about the Covergirl Lashblast Volume Mascara, I finally caved in and bought it for myself. I really do like this mascara a lot. It gives my lashes some nice volume and lenght, and it does a good job separating them as well. I'm not the biggest fan of the scent though, but I have gotten pretty used to it by now. This is definitely a mascara I would buy again :-)

Redken Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner:
I have been loving the Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner by Redken. This is a line that is created for people with color treated hair. I don't have color treated hair, but I can still use them on my hair. I love how soft they make my hair feel, and the color of my natural hair actually looks more vibrant afterwards. The scent is one of the reasons why I love these products so much. The scent lingers in my hair throughout the entire day, which I absolutely love. I'm such a sucker for good smelling products! :-)

I don't think that I will repurchase them anytime soon, just because I have a a few other shampoo's and conditioners that I want to try out and use up. They are also more suited for my hair type. If you have color treated hair, I highly recommend that you check these out :-)

Korres Pomegranate Cleansing & Make-Up Removing Wipes:
I really like these cleansing and make-up removing wipes from Korres. They remove makeup very well, and they leave my skin feeling fresh and clean afterwards. They didn't break out my skin, which I'm very thankful for since I ended up loving these. They have a very refreshing scent, which I really like. Definitely a product I would repurchase :-)

Garnier Skin Naturals Nordic Essentials Ultra Cleansing Wipes:
I have been using these cleansing wipes by Garnier for a few months now, and I really like them. They remove regular and waterproof makeup very well. They are very moisturizing, they leave a clean feeling on the skin afterwards and they have a nice and fresh scent. These have already replaced my beloved Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes, that's how much I love them. This is definitely a product I will keep buying :-)

Do you have any product recommendations? Which products did you use up in July and August? :-) Love, Christine♥

Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes in Pomegranate: Review & Photos

♥ Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes in Pomegranate.

Description:
Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes cleanse the skin and remove make-up efficiently from face and eyes. Pomegranate extract, rich in antioxidants, tightens the pores, tones and refreshes the skin. This pack contains 25 wipes.

My Thoughts:
The Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes (£7.00 for 25 wipes.) are very moisturizing and soft, they give my skin a nice glow and they leave it feeling clean and fresh. They are not rough on my skin, and they don't dry out or irritate my skin either, which I really like. My skin is very sensitive, so when I find a product that I really like and that doesn't break me out, I like to stick to it.

The Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes come in a white package, with a pretty black flower design. I always make sure to store them upside down, to prevent them from drying out. I find that this help keep the wipes moisturized for a longer period of time. They also have a very nice and refreshing scent of pomegranate, which I find very soothing on my skin.

♥ Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes in Pomegranate.

♥ Korres Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes in Pomegranate.

The pomegranate extract is a rich source of tannins, anthocyanins, vitamins (A, C, E) and minerals and is widely used for its antioxidant properties. The high level of antioxidants found in Pomegranate is effective in combating free radicals that cause premature ageing of skin cells. It also has significant astringent properties, due to its tannins content. As a result, it tightens the pores and strengthens the skin epidermis, this being ideal for oily and combination skin.

Overall, I really like these makeup remover wipes by Korres. I think that they work great for removing makeup, they are very gentle on my skin and they have a really nice and fresh scent. A big thumbs up for these :-)

Products I've Used Up: April 2013

Hey everyone :-)
It's been a while since my last empties post, so I figured it was time for me to share the products I managed to use up during the month of April. I didn't use up a lot of products and I know I'm a little late on this post, but I still wanted share them with you guys. Better late than never, right? :-)

If you have done an April empties post, please leave the link in the comments down below. I would love to check it out, and see what products you managed to use up :-)

L'Oreal Paris Eye & Lip Waterproof Make-Up Remover:
The Eye & Lip Waterproof Make-Up Remover from L'Oreal Paris, has been my go-to makeup remover for months now. It does a great job removing my makeup, and it doesn't irritate my eyes. I don't wear waterproof makeup that often but when I do, this removes it without any problems.

If you are looking for a new and affordable makeup remover, I highly recommend that you check this one out. This is definitely a product I'm going to keep buying, until I find something else that I like better :-)

Korres Showergel in Japanese Rose:
I piched up the Japanese Rose showergel a while ago. It came in a set which also included a body lotion, shampoo and conditioner. It's a very nice showergel. It foams up nicely and it's got a very good scent, which lingers on my skin for a while after I have used it. It doesn't dry or irritate my skin, which I really like because my skin is sensitive.

I don't think I will be repurchasing this product anytime soon, just because I have a bunch of different showergels that I want to use up. Once I'm finished with those, I might pick up a another bottle of the Korres Japanese Rose Showergel :-)

Simple Kind To Eyes Eye Make-Up Remover Pads:
I saw these in store a while ago, and decided that I wanted to try them out. They remove makeup very well, both regular and waterproof and the size of the pads are quite small and handy. They don't irritate my sensitive skin, which is always a huge plus for me. I don't think that I will be buying these again, unless I'm going traveling. They are actually quite expensive here, so I'm just going to stick to my Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes :-)

Simple Kind To Eyes Cleansing Facial Wipes:
These have been my favorite facial cleansing wipes for a long time now. They are very moisturizing, and they do a great job with removing any makeup on my face. They also have a very nice and fresh scent, which I find very refreshing. This is definitely a product I will keep repurchasing until I find something else that I like better :-)

Have you tried out any of these products? Did you manage to use up any products during the month of April? :-) Love, Christine♥

Beauty Haul: SensatioNail, Korres, Maybelline, Rimmel, Macadamia Natural Oil & More

Hey my beautiful friends :-)
It's been a while since I have done a haul post! I recently ordered some products from eBay and Lookfantastic. I also managed to finally get my hands on the SensatioNail starter kit, which I'm beyond excited about. I thought I would put together this post for you guys, and show you the items I picked up. Let's move on to the good stuff, shall we? :-)

The SensatioNail Starter Kit has been on my wish list, ever since I saw Elle from All That Glitters 21 do a video about it on her YouTube channel. I went to Vita last week with my friend Silje, and I spotted the kit up on one of the shelves in the store. At first, I couldn't believe my eyes, then I jumped around like a total maniac out of excitement and joy, ha ha! So I ended up picking up the starter kit + a few extra goodies as you can see on the picture above. I'm so excited to finally try this out, have heard so many wonderful things about it :-)

I also placed a sneaky little order on Lookfantastic. The lovely Lisa Lilleseth is a big fan of the Korres Pomegranate Cleansing & Makeup Removing Wipes, so I decided to pick up a package and try it out for myself. I also ordered a 250ml tub of the Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque. I bought a small sample of this hair masque a while ago, and I really liked it. So I had to pick up a bigger tub this time. I absolutely love how this product smells, it's incredible :-)

After hearing so many amazing things about the Maybelline Baby Lips, I finally decided that it was time for me to jump on the bandwagon and try them out. I picked up Pink Punch and Peach Kiss, which was recommended to me by a few awesome people on Twitter. I'm looking forward to trying these out, they look so pretty in the packaging :-)

The lovely Emily from Beauty Broadcast on YouTube has mentioned this eyeliner from Rimmel quite a few times in her videos. I don't have any nude eyeliners in my collection, so that's why I decided to pick this one up. I have played with it a few times already, and so far I really like it. Keep your eyes open for a review :-)

I picked up this nail polish remover from Cutex, which is a brand that is brand new to me. I needed a acetone nail polish remover for removal of my SensatioNail gel manicure, and this was the one that was recommended to me by the people at the store. I also picked up the Maybelline Express Remover, which is supposed to remove your regular nail polish in just one dip. This looked very interesting in the store, so I'm very curious to see how well it works.  Keep your eyes open for a review :-)

Have you picked up any new beauty products lately? Have you tried out the Maybelline Baby Lips? Which shade is your favorite? :-)

My Monthly Favorites: January 2013

Hey Everyone :-)
Another month has flown by, and that means that it's time for another monthly favorites post. I'm always looking forward to writing these posts, because I love sharing my favorite products with you guys. I really hope that you enjoy reading these posts, and that you have found a few favorite products as well. Let's move on to my favorite products for the month of January :-)

Maybelline New York Dream Fresh BB Cream in Light:
I really like this BB cream from Maybelline New York. It gives my skin a very natural, fresh and glowy look. It doesn't feel greasy on my skin, but I do find it to be just a little sticky after it's applied. I use my belowed Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray to set the BB cream and the rest of my makeup, and it just makes my skin feel very nice and smooth :-)

Benefit the PORE fessional:
I picked up this product at Sephora in Paris, after hearing so many great things about it. I really like this product a lot. It's very smooth and easy to apply, and it has a really nice smell as well. I have a lot of pores on my nose, and this does a great job minimizing them. I can see a difference when I'm wearing this on my face. My makeup just looks better, smoother and nicer. Definitely a product I recommend :-)

Benefit They're Real Mascara:
This has been my go-to mascara since I picked it up at Sephora in Paris. I really like that it makes my lashes look a lot longer and a little bit thicker as well, without making them look clumpy. Since I have been using this mascara nonstop since I picked it up, it's probably a good idea to order a backup, because I have a feeling that the tube is almost empty :-)

Bioderma Crealine H2o Face and Eyes Cleanser:
I have had this product for a few months now, and I really like it. I think it's a great product for removing eye makeup. I don't think it's the greatest for removing waterproof mascara, but since I hardly wear it, this works perfect for me :-)

Benefit Erase Paste Concealer in #1 Fair:
I have finally found my favorite concealer for my under eye area, and it's the Erase Paste by Benefit. I love how well this concealer covers up dark circles and blue veining under the eye. The consistency is quite thick, so if you apply too much it can crease and look a cakey. I always start small, and then I go back and apply more if I feel like I need the extra coverage. I prefer using my ring finger to blend out the concealer, because I think that gives the best look :-)

MAC Eyeshadow in All That Glitters:
All That Glitters is my favorite eyeshadow from MAC, and it's been part of my makeup collection for a long time. When I think about it, All That Glitters was the first MAC eyeshadow I bought. It's such a beautiful golden pink eyeshadow, and it's one of those shades that look beautiful alone or together with other shades. All That Glitters is definitely a must have for me, and I highly recommend that :-)

Korres Lip Butter Glaze and Lip Butter in Jasmine:
I'm a huge fan of the Lip Butter Glaze and Lip Butter in Jasmine. I like how moisturizing they are, and how they keep my lips soft and nicely hydrated throughout the day. Jasmine has just a tint of color, but it hardly shows up on my pigmented lips. Both of these and the lip balms from EOS are my favorites :-)

L'Oreal Paris Caresse Lipstick in Sweet Berry:
I have always been impressed with the lipsticks from L'Oreal Paris. Sweet Berry is a pretty nude lipstick, which feels very moisturizing and smooth on my lips. You just can't go wrong with this shade, it's gorgeous and also very pigmented. These are similar to the Revlon Lip Butters, which I also love :-)

Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Fame:
I picked up the Sephora Give Me Some Lip set, and this lovely lip gloss from Smashbox was included in the kit. I can't get enough of this product, it has become one of my new favorite products. The shade is gorgeous, it's comfortable on the lips and nicely pigmented. It doesn't feel sticky, which is something I look for in a lip gloss. I can see why Sephora have included this in their favorites, it's definitely a product worth checking out :-)

What do you think about my monthly favorites? Which products have you been loving for the month of January? :-) Xoxo, Christine♥

Korres Silicone Free Face Primer: Review, Photos & Swatch

Hey Sweeties, how is your weekend going so far? :)

The Korres Silicone Free Face Primer is one off Korres's best selling products and its a natural makeup primer with nourishing antioxidant vitamin E, skin-smoothing Jojoba oil, Melissa water, and Edelweiss extract. Its formulated without silicone, parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes/fragrances, mineral oils, petrochemicals, phthalates, and GMOs. This is a primer that is actually good and healthy for your skin :)

♥ Korres Silicone Free Face Primer.

I have been using this primer for about a year now and I absolutely love it. This was actually recommended to me by a few off my lovely blog readers. At first, I only picked up a little sample size but after falling in love with it, I went back on Ebay and bought the 30ml tube and I don't regret it for a second because this is a wonderful product.

♥ Korres Silicone Free Face Primer.

♥ Korres Silicone Free Face Primer.

The Korres Silicone Free Face Primer has a white and creamy texture which feels more like a moisturizer than a primer and it doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy which I really like. It absorbs quickly into my skin and my face seems to be a lot smoother and even after I have used it. It has a light citrus scent which I love and find very refreshing.

The Korres Silicone Free Face Primer makes my makeup glide on so smoothly, stays put the whole day and makes my makeup look fresh throughout the day. It makes my makeup last longer and it prevents my foundation from setting into my fine lines. Because its mineral oil free, it won't clog your pores or cause breakouts! Hooray :)

♥ Korres Silicone Free Face Primer.

The packaging off the Korres Silicone Free Face Primer is very simple but effective because it allows you to use up everything and don't waste any product. The only ''negative'' thing I have to say about this product, is the price. Its $28 for a 30ml tube which may sound a little expensive for just one primer.

I personally don't mind the price because I like to spend my money on products that I know is good and that I know I will use up. When it comes to face primers, foundations and skin care products, I don't mind paying a little extra money for good quality products :)

I used to use the Smashbox Photofinish Face Primer and it broke me out every time I used it. My skin is very sensitive to silicone so I try to stay away from those. I have used the Mineral Infused Face Primer by Elf Cosmetics which is very similar to the Smashbox Photofinish Face Primer and I haven't experienced any bad reactions with that one. Weird, huh?

I think the Korres Silicone Free Face Primer is a really good primer and I highly recommend that you check it out if you have dry/normal skin. Its a very moisturizing primer which you can use alone or over your favorite moisturizer. A little goes a long way with this primer :)

Rating: 5/6
Where to buy?
The Korres Silicone Free Face Primer is available on korresusa.com for $28. For those off you who live in the US, you can find this at Sephora for $28 as well. I also found it on Ebay for only $13.99 + shipping, so definitely check that out if you want to save a little money. Here is the link to the Ebay seller :)

Have you tried out this face primer from Korres? Do you have a favorite face primer? Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment :) Xoxo, Christine♥

Ebay Goodies: Zoya True Collection, Mally Beauty, Korres, Shiseido & L'Oreal Paris

Im completely obsessed with Ebay! I love that I can find almost everything Im looking for and the products are usually cheaper than what they are in the stores! In Norway, beauty related products (skin care, makeup, etc) are expensive compared to Ebay so I prefer buying them online, it saves me time and money which is just perfect.

I love to cuddle up in a warm blanket with a hot cup of chocolate and do my shopping. Its much more relaxing and it definitely beats a stressful day at the mall :) I did order a few of these items a while back but since I haven't shared them with you, I decided to include them in this post as well :)

♥ Bevin & Skylar.

Bevin and Skylar is a part of Zoya's True Collection which just recently came out. These are the only two shades from the True Collection that was unique and special to me. Both shades are beautiful so Im really looking forward to trying them out :) You can find Bevin here and Skylar here.

♥ Shiseido The Skincare Day Moisture Protection Enriched & Night Moisture Recharge Enriched.

A few weeks ago I got samples of these products to try out and I absolutely loved them so I decided to pick up the full size products. Im still waiting for the Cleansing Foam from the same line, hopefully it will arrive soon :) You can find the Day Moisture Protection Enriched here and the Night Moisture Recharge Enriched here.

♥ Korres Silicone Free Face Primer.

This is one of the best face primers that I have tried, its silicone free which I absolutely love and it smells really good. It feels really nice on the skin, just like a moisturizer :)

♥ Mally Beauty Volumizing Mascara.

I have heard so many good things about this Volumizing Mascara from Mally Beauty. I definitely have high hopes for this product! :) You can find Mally Beauty Volumizing Mascara here.

♥ L'Oreal Paris Infallible Never Fail Lipstick in Mulberry.

I absolutely love this Infallible Never Fail Lipstick by L'Oreal Paris. Finally a lipstick that lasts on the lips for hours. You also get a lipbalm to keep your lips moisturized, without it the lips are going to feel dry and looked chapped. Definitely check these out if you are looking for a lipstick thats going to last you for hours :)

Have you tried any of these products before? Have you bought anything from Ebay lately? :)

Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine & Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream

So I recently picked up the Korres lip Butter in Jasmine and the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream. I have been curious about these two products for the longest time so it was time to pick them up.

I dont think I have read one negative review about the Korres Lip Butters, everyone seems to love them. The Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream on the other hand have gotten both good and bad reviews. People will always have different opinions on products, thats just how it is :)

♥ Korres lip Butter in Jasmine.

♥ Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream.

Im so happy that Vita have started selling the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream, its been on my wishlist for a while now. When I saw the add in their magazine, I immediately asked Simon to drive me down to the city so I could pick it up. Im very excited to try out this product and I really hope that I end up liking it :)

Have you tried any of these two products? :) Xoxo, Christine♥
