the Balm Shadow and Blush in Hot Mama: Review, Photos & Swatches

♥ the Balm Shadow and Blush in Hot Mama.

Description:
An all-in-one essential, this smart shadow, beautiful blush and subtle highlighter is tucked inside a go-anywhere compact. This pinky-peach hue adds a splash of color to your cheeks and a hint of shimmer to your lids, while illuminating your finest features.

My Thoughts:
the Balm's Shadow and Blush in Hot Mama ($20.00 for 0.25oz/7.08g.) is a pretty pinky peach blush with golden shimmer. It's very easy to apply, feels soft on the cheeks and it blends beautifully into the skin. It gives my cheeks a very natural flush of color, which I think is super pretty for summer. It also gives me a pretty and healthy looking glow, so I don't feel the need to use a highlighter with it.

It's a very pigmented blush, so a little goes a long way. You can sheer it out and make it look very natural on your cheeks, or you can build it up and make it look brighter if you want to. I have always been a big fan of multipurpose products, and Hot Mama is a great one. You can use it as a blush/highlighter or even as an eyeshadow if you want to.

I'm always drawn towards the Balm's products, because of their adorable packaging. Hot Mama come in a small, thick cardboard compact with a mirror inside and a magnetic closure. The size is perfect, so it's great for keeping in your daily makeup bag or in your handbag for touch ups :-)

Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink: Review, Photos & Swatches

♥ Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink.

Description:
A luxurious powder blush that features a mélange infusion of colors baked on Italian terracotta tiles. Easy to use, sensorial in texture, the nuances of color become extraordinarily luminous. Silky smooth application leaves your face looking healthy and radiant all day.

My Thoughts:
Milani's Baked Blush in Dolce Pink ($7.99 for 0.12 oz/3.5g.) is a medium pink blush with golden shimmer. It's very easy to work with, the pigmentation is nice and it blends beautifully into the skin. The golden shimmer gives my skin such a nice glow, so I don't even wear a highlighter when I'm wearing this on my cheeks.

All of the Baked Blushes from Milani come in this really pretty gold container, which I think looks very cute and sleek. You also get a mirror and a little brush, which is great for travelling. I normally don't use the brush that comes with the blush in the container, but it can definitely be useful if you are going to travel and you don't want to take a bunch of makeup brushes with you.

Dolce Pink is actually very similar to Orgasm by NARS, which is another favorite off mine. Here, I have swatched them side by side so you can see how similar they really are. Right below is a picture of Dolce Pink on my cheeks :-)

Overall, I really like Dolce Pink. The quality is great, and the pigmentation is wonderful. The baked blushes by Milani, are definitely some of the best blushes available in the beauty world. How awesome would it be, if Milani decided to release some new shades in this range? That is something I would love to see from them in the future, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed :-)

Nails Of The Day: Pale Pink & Leopard Print

♥ Essie Fiji and China Glaze Real Nail Polish Strips in Ferr-Ocious.

Hey Sweeties :-)
I hope you all are having a wonderful day. I wanted to start of the week with a fresh and brand new manicure. One of my favorite nail polishes from Essie is Fiji. It's such a pretty and clean shade, and I really like how it looks on my nails. It's just the perfect everyday shade in my book.

I decided to pair Fiji with these awesome leopard printed nail strips from China Glaze. Don't you just love how they look together? It's such a cute combination, and I think that the leopard print makes it look even more put together :-)

Shany Cosmetics Smooch Collection Lipstick Set 02: Review, Photos & Swatches

♥ Shany Cosmetics Smooch Collection Lipstick Set 02.

My Thoughts:
The Smooch Collection Lipstick Set 02 by Shany Cosmetics is a 6 piece lipstick set, which includes pretty and highly pigmented shades that are imported from Luxembourg. All six shades are beautiful and very pigmented. They feel very smooth and soft on the lips, and they have a lovely shine to them.

I really like how build able the different shades are. Some of the shades in this set look quite scary, but they can be very wearable if you apply them with a light hand. I'm not a bright lipstick kind of girl, so I prefer to just dab a little bit of the color onto my lips, just to give them a nice wash of color. All 6 shades are very easy to remove, but some of the more brighter shades can stain your lips. They don't have a weird scent, which I really like :-)

♥ Shany Cosmetics Smooch Collection Lipstick Set 02.

♥ Shany Cosmetics Smooch Collection Lipstick Set 02.

The lipsticks come in a simple black and gold tube, which I think looks very beautiful, elegant and high-end. The packaging is very lightweight, which is nice but it feels a little cheap to me. The colors that you see on the box that the lipsticks first came in, are not true to the actual shades of the lipsticks. That is definitely something you have to keep in mind, before you pick up any of their lipstick kits.

Each shade has a little sticker on the bottom of the tube, with the color and number on it. I find this very useful for storage, because it's very easy for me to find the shade that I'm looking for, without having to go through each and every single lipstick. They don't have names, only numbers :-)

 ♥ Shany Cosmetics Lipsticks in 07, 08 & 9.

♥ Shany Cosmetics Lipsticks in 10, 11 & 12.

Shade 07 is a beautiful, bright pinky purple.

Shade 08 is a dark purple.

Shade 09 is a dark brown.

Shade 10 is a bright orange.

This shade is very similar to shade 6 from the Smooch Collection Lipstick Set 01. The only difference is that shade 10 is a little bit lighter than shade 6.

Shade 11 is a pretty pinky coral.

Shade 12 is a baby pink.

Overall, this is a wonderful lipstick set. I actually prefer this set over the first one, just because I think the colors are a little more wearable and more me. My favorite shades are 07 and 11. Shade 12 is the only lipstick in this set that I don't like. It's too light for my taste :-)

Shany Cosmetics Smooch Collection Lipstick Set 01: Review, Photos & Swatches

♥ Shany Cosmetics Smooch Collection Lipstick Set 01.

My Thoughts:
The Smooch Collection by Shany Cosmetics is a 6 piece lipstick set, which includes highly pigmented colors that are imported from Luxembourg. All six lipsticks are beautiful and very pigmented. They feel very smooth and soft on the lips, but they can be just a little bit dry on their own. I always start of with a lip balm anyway, so that really doesn't bother me. Some shades look pretty scary in the tube, but they can be quite wearable if you use a light hand with them.

If you think that these colors are going to be too bright for you, you can always dab them on your lips for just a wash of color. The colors are very build able, and they don't have a weird scent. They are very easy to remove, but some of the brighter shades can stain your lips.

Shade 01 is a pretty barbie pink.

Shade 03 is a pretty, bright purple.

Shade 04 is a dark brownish red.

Shade 05 is a pretty red.

Shade 06 is a bright orange.

Overall, I really like this set. The colors are very beautiful, bright and fun for spring and summer. There are some crazy, bright colors in this set, but my favorites are shade #03 and #04. I personally prefer neutral shades, but it's always fun to step out of your comfort zone and try something new and different. If you are a bright lipstick kind of girl, this set is perfect for you :-)
