MY MONTHLY FAVORITES: OCTOBER 2013

Hey Everyone :-)
How are you doing today? How is your weekend going so far? Any fun plans for the evening? I can't believe that it's November already! Christmas is right around the corner, which makes me oh so happy. Is it too early to start shopping for Christmas presents? I don't think so, LOL!!!

It's been a while since I have done a monthly favorites post, so I thought it was time for me to finally do one again. So without further ado, here are the items that I have been loving for the month off October :-)

♥ MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle.

♥ MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle.

♥ Swatch: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle is probably my all-time favorite highlighter. It's a very pretty champagne highlighter which looks stunning on all skin tones, and it gives the face the most beautiful glow. I also like to use it as an eyeshadow/inner corner highlighter.

I've had this baby for a couple off years now and it's still going strong. If you are looking for a new highlighter, I highly recommend that you check this one out. I know it's a little expensive, but I think that this is a product that is totally worth the money and it's going to last you a very long time. Soft and Gentle is a total must have in my book :-)

♥ MAC Paint Pot in Painterly.

♥ MAC Paint Pot in Painterly.

♥ Swatch: MAC Paint Pot in Painterly.

I'm a huge fan off MAC Paint Pots and Painterly has been my go-to paint pot for the entire month off October. It's a pretty nude beige shade, which completely neutralizes the blue veining on my eye lids and preps them for eyeshadow application. Painterly can be used on it's own, but I prefer to just use it as a base before I apply my eyeshadow. It makes the eyeshadow last longer and it also makes the color off the eyeshadow a little brighter as well.

If you are thinking about picking up a paint pot by MAC, I highly recommend Painterly. If you already have Painterly in your collection, Bare Study is another great choice. I'm thinking about doing a MAC paint pot collection post with swatches soon, is that something you would be interested in seeing? :-)

♥ Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick 08 & NARS Lipstick in Blonde Venus.

♥ Swatch: Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick 08 & NARS Lipstick in Blonde Venus.

The Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in 08 is one off my favorite lipsticks at the moment. It's such a beautiful, deeper shade that feels very soft and smooth on the lips. It doesn't feel drying at all, and it's got a sweet scent which I really like. I have been really into more darker shades for Fall and Winter, and this is a great pick :-)

Another lipstick that I have been enjoying for the month off October is Blonde Venus by NARS. Blonde Venus is a lot lighter and more on the browner side, than the Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in 08. It's easy to apply, and it feels very smooth and soft on the lips too. It doesn't feel drying on the lips, nor does it have an unpleasant scent :-)

♥ NYX Powder Blush in Peach.

♥ NYX Powder Blush in Peach.

♥ Swatch: NYX Powder Blush in Peach.

The powder blushes by NYX Cosmetics are some of my favorite blushes off all time. Peach is a pretty peachy pink blush with no shimmer/glitter, and it's one of my favorite shades in their entire powder blush range. It blends easily into the skin and it's a great everyday shade for your cheeks. I have been using Peach for almost the entire month off October and I just can't get enough off it :-)

♥ Make Up For Ever HD Powder.

♥ Make Up For Ever HD Powder.

I'm a big fan of the Make Up For Ever HD Powder. I bought this product at Sephora in Paris, and I have been loving it ever since. I use it to set my under eye concealer, and it works perfect for that. I just use a tiny amount of powder to set the concealer, and it keeps it in place during the entire day :-)

What do you think about my favorites for the month off October? What products have you been loving for the October month? :-) Love, Christine♥

My Monthly Favorites: May 2013

Hey Everyone :-)
May is almost over, which means that it's time for me to share the products that I have been loving this month. I rediscovered a few, old beauty favorites off mine that I forgot that I had in my makeup collection. I love when that happens, don't you? So, without further ado, here are my favorite products for the month of May :-)

♥ e.l.f. Eyebrow Treat & Tame in Light/Clear:
The Eyebrow Treat & Tame by e.l.f. has been my go-to and favorite brow product during the entire month of May. My brows are very light, so I like to use the tame side of the product to give them some color. It's a very quick and easy step in my daily makeup rutine, and I really like it :-)

♥ Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15:
I have been obsessed with this concealer lately. I really like how it brightens up my my face, and make me look more awake. It has nice coverage as well, so it's great to use as an all over concealer. I like to use it under my eyes, as well as on the rest of my face to cover up any redness. If you have tried out Maybelline's Fit Me Foundation and you like it, definitely give this concealer a try :-)

♥ NYX Powder Blush in Peach:
I'm a huge fan of the powder blushes by NYX, and Peach is one of my favorites. Peach is a pretty light pink blush. I really like that it gives my cheeks a very natural and flushed look, I think that's a very pretty look for summer. Peach can be applied sheer with a light hand, or you can build it up and make it look a little brighter. I have been using it almost every single day in May, and I really like it. It's definitely one of the prettiest shades from NYX's Powder Blush range :-)

♥ Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Afterglow:
During the month of May, I rediscovered my love for Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Afterglow. This used to be one of my favorite lipglosses, but I completely forgot that I had it in my makeup collection. Pink Afterglow is a pretty medium pink lipgloss with silver shimmer. It's very easy to apply, and it doesn't feel sticky on my lips. If you have been wanting to try out the Super Lustrous Lipglosses by Revlon, Pink Afterglow is a nice shade to start with.

♥ Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 BB Cream in Light:
I normally don't like to wear full coverage foundations during the summer, because I think they are a little too heavy for my liking. That's why I love BB creams, especially the Dream Fresh BB Cream by Maybelline. I like that it doesn't feel heavy on my skin, it gives my skin a very natural look and it also gives me an instant and fresh glow :-)

♥ MAC Eyeshadow in Brule:
Brule has been my favorite and most used eyeshadow during the month of May. I think it's a great ''all over the lid'' color, and it gives you that natural look which I have been going for a lot lately. Other shades from MAC that I also like, are Satin Taupe, Charcoal Brown and All That Glitters :-)

What products have you been loving for the month of May? Have you tried out any of my favorites? :-) Love, Christine♥

Nails Of The Day: In Stitches & Ice Glitter

Hey everyone :)
Today, I decided to paint my nails with one of my newest nail polishes, In Stitches by Essie. In Stitches is a gorgeous, burgundy nail polish that just screams Fall to me.

I'm in love with this shade, its a really beautiful shade for the Fall. I decided to paint my ring finger with Ice Glitter from NYX, for some extra sparkle and fun. I love how a little bit of glitter can change up the whole look and make it more fun and girly. Who doesn't love a little glitter and sparkle in their life? I can't get enough :)

What do you think about the look? What are you wearing on your nails at the moment? Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment :) Xoxo, Christine♥

NYX Powder Blush in Angel: Review, Photos & Swatch

Hey Sweeties, how are you guys doing? :)
I have another requested post to share with all off you tonight. The lovely Linny from schmuckstueck asked me if I could share swatches off the NYX Powder Blush in Angel. I decided to do a review and share my opinion on this lovely blush with all off you :)

Please keep your blog post request coming, I love to hear back from you :)

♥ NYX Powder Blush in Angel.

The NYX powder blushes are available in 24 different shades and delivers sheer, silky color that glides on, blends beautifully and creates a natural glow.

Angel is a beautiful light rose-pink blush that give your cheeks a fresh and natural look. Its very soft and velvety and it blends beautifully on the skin. Its definitely a gorgeous and perfect blush for everyday use.

♥ NYX Powder Blush in Angel.

When it comes to the pigmentation, Angel has the best of both worlds. Its pigmented but not too pigmented that you have to use a light hand when you apply it. I actually like that in a blush because that allows me to layer on the color without over doing it. Its better to apply a little at first and then go back and apply more if you feel like you need a little extra color on your cheeks.

When you look at the blush, you can see that it has a little shimmer but its nothing big and it wont even show up on the skin. Angel is a little chalky but nothing too extreme.

♥ NYX Powder Blush in Angel.

I really like the packaging off the NYX blushes, its very practical. The blushes come in a large square pan with a quilted surface. The lid flips up and has a clear cover so you can tell what color it is inside. I really love that about these blushes, its so easy to tell what color each blush is. I wish all blushes had these clear covers :)

The only thing I don't like about the packaging is that the clear lid that protects the blush is very fragile. It can easily break if you throw it in your makeup bag or in your purse so remember to be a little careful with it. If it breaks, you can always glue it back together though :)

♥ NYX Powder Blush in Angel.

If you have fair/light skin, Angel is a perfect blush for you. Its going to give you such a natural, gorgeous flush off color to the cheeks. If your skin is darker, I'm not sure if Angel is going to show up on your skin.

Angel is one off those blushes that I instantly pick up if I don't know what blush to wear, its just the perfect blush for everyday. I highly recommend that you give it a try because I think that you are going to love it as much as I do :)
