MY MONTHLY FAVORITES: OCTOBER 2013

Hey Everyone :-)
How are you doing today? How is your weekend going so far? Any fun plans for the evening? I can't believe that it's November already! Christmas is right around the corner, which makes me oh so happy. Is it too early to start shopping for Christmas presents? I don't think so, LOL!!!

It's been a while since I have done a monthly favorites post, so I thought it was time for me to finally do one again. So without further ado, here are the items that I have been loving for the month off October :-)

♥ MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle.

♥ MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle.

♥ Swatch: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle is probably my all-time favorite highlighter. It's a very pretty champagne highlighter which looks stunning on all skin tones, and it gives the face the most beautiful glow. I also like to use it as an eyeshadow/inner corner highlighter.

I've had this baby for a couple off years now and it's still going strong. If you are looking for a new highlighter, I highly recommend that you check this one out. I know it's a little expensive, but I think that this is a product that is totally worth the money and it's going to last you a very long time. Soft and Gentle is a total must have in my book :-)

♥ MAC Paint Pot in Painterly.

♥ MAC Paint Pot in Painterly.

♥ Swatch: MAC Paint Pot in Painterly.

I'm a huge fan off MAC Paint Pots and Painterly has been my go-to paint pot for the entire month off October. It's a pretty nude beige shade, which completely neutralizes the blue veining on my eye lids and preps them for eyeshadow application. Painterly can be used on it's own, but I prefer to just use it as a base before I apply my eyeshadow. It makes the eyeshadow last longer and it also makes the color off the eyeshadow a little brighter as well.

If you are thinking about picking up a paint pot by MAC, I highly recommend Painterly. If you already have Painterly in your collection, Bare Study is another great choice. I'm thinking about doing a MAC paint pot collection post with swatches soon, is that something you would be interested in seeing? :-)

♥ Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick 08 & NARS Lipstick in Blonde Venus.

♥ Swatch: Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick 08 & NARS Lipstick in Blonde Venus.

The Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in 08 is one off my favorite lipsticks at the moment. It's such a beautiful, deeper shade that feels very soft and smooth on the lips. It doesn't feel drying at all, and it's got a sweet scent which I really like. I have been really into more darker shades for Fall and Winter, and this is a great pick :-)

Another lipstick that I have been enjoying for the month off October is Blonde Venus by NARS. Blonde Venus is a lot lighter and more on the browner side, than the Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in 08. It's easy to apply, and it feels very smooth and soft on the lips too. It doesn't feel drying on the lips, nor does it have an unpleasant scent :-)

♥ NYX Powder Blush in Peach.

♥ NYX Powder Blush in Peach.

♥ Swatch: NYX Powder Blush in Peach.

The powder blushes by NYX Cosmetics are some of my favorite blushes off all time. Peach is a pretty peachy pink blush with no shimmer/glitter, and it's one of my favorite shades in their entire powder blush range. It blends easily into the skin and it's a great everyday shade for your cheeks. I have been using Peach for almost the entire month off October and I just can't get enough off it :-)

♥ Make Up For Ever HD Powder.

♥ Make Up For Ever HD Powder.

I'm a big fan of the Make Up For Ever HD Powder. I bought this product at Sephora in Paris, and I have been loving it ever since. I use it to set my under eye concealer, and it works perfect for that. I just use a tiny amount of powder to set the concealer, and it keeps it in place during the entire day :-)

What do you think about my favorites for the month off October? What products have you been loving for the October month? :-) Love, Christine♥

My Monthly Favorites: May 2013

Hey Everyone :-)
May is almost over, which means that it's time for me to share the products that I have been loving this month. I rediscovered a few, old beauty favorites off mine that I forgot that I had in my makeup collection. I love when that happens, don't you? So, without further ado, here are my favorite products for the month of May :-)

♥ e.l.f. Eyebrow Treat & Tame in Light/Clear:
The Eyebrow Treat & Tame by e.l.f. has been my go-to and favorite brow product during the entire month of May. My brows are very light, so I like to use the tame side of the product to give them some color. It's a very quick and easy step in my daily makeup rutine, and I really like it :-)

♥ Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15:
I have been obsessed with this concealer lately. I really like how it brightens up my my face, and make me look more awake. It has nice coverage as well, so it's great to use as an all over concealer. I like to use it under my eyes, as well as on the rest of my face to cover up any redness. If you have tried out Maybelline's Fit Me Foundation and you like it, definitely give this concealer a try :-)

♥ NYX Powder Blush in Peach:
I'm a huge fan of the powder blushes by NYX, and Peach is one of my favorites. Peach is a pretty light pink blush. I really like that it gives my cheeks a very natural and flushed look, I think that's a very pretty look for summer. Peach can be applied sheer with a light hand, or you can build it up and make it look a little brighter. I have been using it almost every single day in May, and I really like it. It's definitely one of the prettiest shades from NYX's Powder Blush range :-)

♥ Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Afterglow:
During the month of May, I rediscovered my love for Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Afterglow. This used to be one of my favorite lipglosses, but I completely forgot that I had it in my makeup collection. Pink Afterglow is a pretty medium pink lipgloss with silver shimmer. It's very easy to apply, and it doesn't feel sticky on my lips. If you have been wanting to try out the Super Lustrous Lipglosses by Revlon, Pink Afterglow is a nice shade to start with.

♥ Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 BB Cream in Light:
I normally don't like to wear full coverage foundations during the summer, because I think they are a little too heavy for my liking. That's why I love BB creams, especially the Dream Fresh BB Cream by Maybelline. I like that it doesn't feel heavy on my skin, it gives my skin a very natural look and it also gives me an instant and fresh glow :-)

♥ MAC Eyeshadow in Brule:
Brule has been my favorite and most used eyeshadow during the month of May. I think it's a great ''all over the lid'' color, and it gives you that natural look which I have been going for a lot lately. Other shades from MAC that I also like, are Satin Taupe, Charcoal Brown and All That Glitters :-)

What products have you been loving for the month of May? Have you tried out any of my favorites? :-) Love, Christine♥

My Monthly Favorites: February 2013

Hey Everyone :-)
February is almost over, which means that it's time for me to share my favorite products of the month with you guys. I have a little mix of makeup and skin care products to show you, so let's get this fun post started :-)

 L'Occitane Milk Concentrate:
I'm obsessed with L'Occitane's Almond range (mainly because of the smell), and this product has quickly become a big favorite of mine. Milk Concentrate is a moisturizer for your body. It absorbs quickly into the skin, without leaving a greasy feeling behind. I really like that it makes my skin soft and silky smooth, and it's got the most beautiful smell. If you love the L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil, you are going to love this product :-)

EOS Lip Balm in Watermelon Wonderland:
Watermelon Wonderland has been my go-to lipbalm for the entire month of February. It's part of EOS's Alice in Wonderland collection, which was released back in 2012. I'm obsessed with this lip balm. It makes my lips so smooth and soft, and it keeps them nice and moistruized for hours. The name is super cute and and it smells really good, which is always a plus for me. I highly recommend that you check out these lip balms, if you haven't done that already :-)

Decleor Aroma Cleanse, Aromessence Rose D'orient, Harmonie Calm & Aroma Night:
I started using these skin care products by Decleor a few weeks ago, and I have been really liking them so far. My skin is very sensitive, and it gets extra dry when it's winter and cold outside. These products have been helping my skin a lot,  keeping it nice and hydrated. Hopefully they will make it into my March favorites, we'll have to wait and see about that :-)

NYX Trio Eyeshadow Palette in TS 17 - Frosted Flake/Slate/Iced Mocha:
As you probably can tell by looking at the picture, I have been loving the second and the third shade in this palette a lot. I do have a few of these NYX trio eyeshadow palettes in my makeup collection, but this one is definitely my favorite. All three shades are silky smooth and soft. The shadows are very easy to apply, they blend nicely and they are very pigmented as well :-)

Benefit Erase Paste in Fair:
Erase Paste by Benefit has yet again made it into my monthly favorites. I can't say enough good things about this product. This is the perfect under eye concealer for me. It doesn't settle into my fine lines and it doesn't crease, unless I use way too much product. I used to use my fingers to apply it with, but now I use my bellowed Sigma P82 brush. I find this brush to be perfect because it blends out the concealer nicely, without taking away any product. I highly recommend this concealer, it's one of the best concealers that I have tried :-)

Inkane Natural Lipstick in Shade #605:
This lipstick has been my favorite of the month. It's a neutral brown lipstick, which is really easy to apply. It's very smooth and creamy, the shade is gorgeous and it's also very pigmented.  This particular lipstick reminds me of the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks, which are amazing but quite expensive. It has the same creamy and nice texture, but not as shiny. Here is my review if you missed it :-)

What products have you been loving for the month of February? :-) Xoxo, Christine♥

My Monthly Favorites: January 2013

Hey Everyone :-)
Another month has flown by, and that means that it's time for another monthly favorites post. I'm always looking forward to writing these posts, because I love sharing my favorite products with you guys. I really hope that you enjoy reading these posts, and that you have found a few favorite products as well. Let's move on to my favorite products for the month of January :-)

Maybelline New York Dream Fresh BB Cream in Light:
I really like this BB cream from Maybelline New York. It gives my skin a very natural, fresh and glowy look. It doesn't feel greasy on my skin, but I do find it to be just a little sticky after it's applied. I use my belowed Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray to set the BB cream and the rest of my makeup, and it just makes my skin feel very nice and smooth :-)

Benefit the PORE fessional:
I picked up this product at Sephora in Paris, after hearing so many great things about it. I really like this product a lot. It's very smooth and easy to apply, and it has a really nice smell as well. I have a lot of pores on my nose, and this does a great job minimizing them. I can see a difference when I'm wearing this on my face. My makeup just looks better, smoother and nicer. Definitely a product I recommend :-)

Benefit They're Real Mascara:
This has been my go-to mascara since I picked it up at Sephora in Paris. I really like that it makes my lashes look a lot longer and a little bit thicker as well, without making them look clumpy. Since I have been using this mascara nonstop since I picked it up, it's probably a good idea to order a backup, because I have a feeling that the tube is almost empty :-)

Bioderma Crealine H2o Face and Eyes Cleanser:
I have had this product for a few months now, and I really like it. I think it's a great product for removing eye makeup. I don't think it's the greatest for removing waterproof mascara, but since I hardly wear it, this works perfect for me :-)

Benefit Erase Paste Concealer in #1 Fair:
I have finally found my favorite concealer for my under eye area, and it's the Erase Paste by Benefit. I love how well this concealer covers up dark circles and blue veining under the eye. The consistency is quite thick, so if you apply too much it can crease and look a cakey. I always start small, and then I go back and apply more if I feel like I need the extra coverage. I prefer using my ring finger to blend out the concealer, because I think that gives the best look :-)

MAC Eyeshadow in All That Glitters:
All That Glitters is my favorite eyeshadow from MAC, and it's been part of my makeup collection for a long time. When I think about it, All That Glitters was the first MAC eyeshadow I bought. It's such a beautiful golden pink eyeshadow, and it's one of those shades that look beautiful alone or together with other shades. All That Glitters is definitely a must have for me, and I highly recommend that :-)

Korres Lip Butter Glaze and Lip Butter in Jasmine:
I'm a huge fan of the Lip Butter Glaze and Lip Butter in Jasmine. I like how moisturizing they are, and how they keep my lips soft and nicely hydrated throughout the day. Jasmine has just a tint of color, but it hardly shows up on my pigmented lips. Both of these and the lip balms from EOS are my favorites :-)

L'Oreal Paris Caresse Lipstick in Sweet Berry:
I have always been impressed with the lipsticks from L'Oreal Paris. Sweet Berry is a pretty nude lipstick, which feels very moisturizing and smooth on my lips. You just can't go wrong with this shade, it's gorgeous and also very pigmented. These are similar to the Revlon Lip Butters, which I also love :-)

Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Fame:
I picked up the Sephora Give Me Some Lip set, and this lovely lip gloss from Smashbox was included in the kit. I can't get enough of this product, it has become one of my new favorite products. The shade is gorgeous, it's comfortable on the lips and nicely pigmented. It doesn't feel sticky, which is something I look for in a lip gloss. I can see why Sephora have included this in their favorites, it's definitely a product worth checking out :-)

My Monthly Favorites: December 2012

Hey Everyone :)
December is almost over, which means that it's time to share the products I have been loving this month. I would love to know which products you have been loving for the month of December, so don't forget to leave me a comment down below :)

♥ Ciate Mini Mani Month Advent Calendar.

After playing around with a new Ciate nail polish everyday in December, I have managed to find quite a few favorites. I'm very impressed with the quality of the nail polishes! The drying time is pretty fantastic, and I love how easy and smooth they are to apply. I have been having a lot of fun with the Ciate Mini Mani Month Advent Calendar, and that's why it has made it into my December favorites :)

♥ Yes To Cucumbers Facial Towelettes.

After hearing so many great things about the Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Natural Glow Facial Towelettes, I decided to pick one up at Sephora in Paris. I really like these facial towelettes, and I don't regret picking them up. I think they do a very good job removing my makeup, they feel nice on my skin (not greasy) and they have a clean and fresh scent, which I find very refreshing. I need to go online and order me some more of these, because I don't want to run out :)

♥ L'Oreal Caresse Lipsticks in Sweet Berry & Rock'n Mauve.

I picked up these L'oreal Paris Rouge Caresse lipsticks in the duty free store at the airport in Oslo. Sweet Berry and Rock'n Mauve are both beautiful, super moisturizing, smooth and pigmented. They are very similar to the Revlon Lip Butters, which I love :)

♥ Lorac PRO Palette.

I'm a huge fan of the Lorac PRO Palette, and it's been my go-to eyeshadow palette for the month of December. I'm a huge fan of neutral eyeshadows, so this palette is right up my alley :)

♥ Versace Bright Crystal.

Bright Crystal has been my go-to perfume for the month of December. I just love the fresh, flowery scent! I'm not a big fan of perfumes that have that really strong flowery scent, because they tend to give me a headache. Bright Crystal is just perfect, and I already have a backup of it lying around in my collection :)

What do you think about my favorites? Which products have you been loving for the month of December? Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment :) Xoxo, Christine♥

My Monthly Favorites: November 2012

Hey Everyone :)
We are finally in December, and that means that it's time for a brand new monthly favorites post! Here are the products I have been loving for the month of November :)

♥ Maybelline New York Dream Fresh BB Cream, NYX HD Photogenic Concealer & Revlon Photo Ready Concealer.

Maybelline New York Dream Fresh BB Cream in Light:
I'm a big fan of this BB Cream from Maybelline New York. I love how it gives my skin a very natural, fresh and glowy look. If you love BB Creams and you haven't had the chance to try this one yet, you should test it out the next time you are in your local beauty store. You might end up liking it a lot :)

NYX HD Photogenic Concealer in Light:
The HD Photogenic Concealer by NYX, is one of my favorite concealers. I think it does a good job covering up my under eye circles and imperfections. I don't have a lot of imperfections to cover up, so this concealer works very well for me. If you have a lot to cover up, I'm not sure how well this is going to work for you. This is definitely a product I will buy again :)

Revlon Photo Ready Concealer:
Another concealer that I have been loving for the month of November, is the Revlon Photo Ready Concealer. The Revlon Photo Ready Concealer has a nice and thick consistensy. I love how it brightens up the face and makes you look more awake. It blends very nicely into my skin, and it does a really good job covering up imperfections. The Revlon Photo Ready Concealer is perfect if you have a lot of imperfections you want to cover up :)

♥ L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil & Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel.

L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil:
The L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil, has quickly become one of my favorite products to use in the shower. It latters up nicely, and it makes my skin feel very soft and smooth. The smell lingers on the skin throughout the entire day, which I love. This is my second bottle and as you can see, I have used up quite a lot of product already. I need to order another bottle soon, because I don't want to run out of it :)

 Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel:
I haven't tried a lot of products from Lush Cosmetics, but their Snow Fairy Shower Gel is definitely a must have in my book. Snow Fairy has a very sweet and sugary candy smell, which makes me want to eat it everytime I use it. The bottle is filled with beautiful, blue glitter sparkles. The blue glitters doesn't show up on my skin at all, but it looks so pretty in the bottle. I highly recommend that you check out the Snow Fairy Shower Gel :)

♥ Lorac PRO Palette & Revlon Lip Butters in Creme Brulee and Berry Smoothie.

Revlon Lip Butters in Berry Smoothie and Creme Brulee:
I'm a huge fan of the Revlon Lip Butters! Berry Smoothie and Creme Brulee, has been big favorites of mine for the month of November. I love how moisturizing, smooth and pigmented they are :)

Lorac PRO Palette:
The Lorac PRO Palette has quickly become one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes, and I have been using this everyday since I got it. The eyeshadows are very pigmented, smooth and easy to blend. I love the good selection of both matte and shimmery shades, definitely worth checking out if you are a big fan of neutral eyeshadows :)

My October Favorites

 Hey Beauties :)
it's November, which means that it's finally time for yet another monthly favorites post. I have a few products that I have been loving for the month of October, and I want to share them with you guys :)

♥ Revlon Photo Ready Foundation in Shell.

I have been wearing the Revlon Photo Ready Foundation a lot in October. I really like how this foundation gives my skin a nice and dewy look. The Photo Ready Foundation has a lot of shimmer in it which I'm not the biggest fan of, but I do like how it gives my face a nice and healthy glow. If your not a big fan of shimmery foundations, this is definitely not the right one for you :)

♥ NYX HD Photogenic Concealer in Light.

I absolutely love this concealer from NYX. I have been using it everyday in October, and I'm almost out of it. This is definitely a product I will stick to, and keep buying over and over again :)

♥ MAC Paint Pot in Painterly.

Painterly has been one of my go-to eye products for the month of October. I have been wearing it all over my eyelid, with Tease from the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette in my crease. I really like how Painterly and Tease look together. I like how Painterly opens up my eyes and makes them look more awake and fresh, while Tease give them a little bit of dimension and depth :)

♥ Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle.

I'm a huge fan of the Revlon Lip Butters, and Pink Truffle is a shade that I have been using almost every day in October. I really like how soft and moisturizing these lip butters are, and I love that they are quite pigmented as well. If you are looking for a lip product that will give your lips some color and keep them moisturized throughout the day, Pink Truffle is definitely worth checking out :)

♥ YSL Rouge Volupte in 20 Spicy Pink.

I have been using my belowed YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick in 20 Spicy Pink a lot in October. Spicy Pink is my very first lipstick from YSL, and I don't regret spending my money on it. I love how pigmented and creamy it is, and also how smooth and soft it feels on my lips. Since the YSL lipsticks are a bit pricey, I decided to go with a more neutral shade that I knew I would wear and use often. If you are looking to splurge on a lipstick from the YSL Rouge Volupte range, you should definitely check out Spicy Pink. If you are a big fan of neutral lipsticks, I think you are going to love it :)

♥ Essie Nail Polish in Bahama Mama.

♥ MUA Makeup Academy Undressed Eyeshadow Palette.

I have been using the Undressed Eyeshadow Palette from MUA Makeup Academy a lot during the month of October. The eyeshadows are really pretty and nicely pigmented. The Undressed palette is actually a great alternative to the original Naked palette from Urban Decay. So if you don't want to spend $50 or more on the Naked palette, this is definitely a great choice :)

 ♥ Pink Travalo.

The Travalo is a refillable perfume atomizer, which I'm completely in love and obsessed with. Before I knew about this product, I used to carry my favorite perfumes in my handbag. We all know how heavy our handbags can get with all the different things we carry with us everyday, so this cute little gadget definitely made a big difference. The Travalo refills in seconds directly from a big fragrance spray bottle. It comes in many different colors, which is a perfect way to keep track of your favorite perfumes :)

 ♥ Real Techniques Buffing Brush.

I absolutely love this Buffing Brush from Real Techniques. I love using this brush to apply my blushes with, but it's also great for liquid foundation. I'm so impressed with the Real Techniques brushes. They are incredible soft and so easy to work with. They pick up product easily and they do a really good job blending out the product as well :)

 ♥ The Beauty Blender.

I freaking love the Beauty Blender. I love using it to apply my NYX Photogenic Concealer. It does a really good job blending out the concealer and making it look flawless and even. I highly recommend that you check out this product :)
